So on Sunday I decided to go for a squirt down the great ocean rd. 10km out of Lorne I could here my car had a slight miss. As I tried to bring it on boost it got worse and wouldn't make power. Then I could start to smell fuel so I pulled over and the car just stalled. Had a look around and couldn't find anything wrong except the smell of fuel and white smoke coming out the back. Got the old man to tow me home so I could have a look at the car. Every cylinder has spark, fuel and compression but there is one cylinder that doesn't run at all. When I checked cylinders 5 and 6, both spark plugs had fuel on them. As the turbo spools down it sounds the tiniest bit rough like something has let go. Also noticed when I pulled the heat shield off that between the turbo, manifold and exhaust flanges there is fuel and oil coming out. Also a bit coming out between the manifold and head on cylinder 6. Got no idea what the problem is at this stage but I'll start pulling the turbo and head off to see what I can find. Anyone got any idea's? Also thought it could be an electrical fault that is causing the engine not to run properly but with all fuel around the turbo and the white smoke out the back I think it's something a lot more serious.
