Hey Guys Got interior light issues.. So ill list whats happening... - The centre interior light doesnt not work as it is meant to, like when doors open or by pushing button on dash. - The rear door lights are also not working as they are meant to, so when doors open not working or when you manually switch them on. - The Front 2 small interior lights near windscreen, as for these 2 small round lights I could only get 1 to work and only if I keep flicking the switch. - I changed the globes in all the lights & checked all fuses. - What happened next was still none of the lights worked ... EXCEPT for the middle interior light which just stayed on and I could not switch off by pushing button on dash or by closing door. - After mucking about switching all the lights on and off and opening and closing the doors I realised that I was able to turn the centre interior light off by switching one of the rear door light switches!!?? Yep you read correct. Only 1 of them though could switch the centre light on & off?? - Not sure if its related but my cruise control does not work either? It did once but I didnt use it for so long so I dont know when it actually stopped. - I had the Armature changed in drivers door I think it was due to central locking problem. - Since Armature was changed pretty sure my alarm has stopped working. - Also had steer column changed I think due to ignition barrel falling to pces and pretty sure it was replaced by one out of a FG maybe dont quote me on that though. Pretty sure its a different key I use now and everything. - Had to get a ford pro out to hook to computer so the car would accept the new key and the fob (car door button controller) so I could lock unlock and start the cars ignition. I know its a bit of info to absorb and think about but if anyone can help me be awesome. But please if anyone can help please explain real good im a single mum here so might not know everything you may be explaining so try relay any info in point form,, im still taking baby steps learning about my car lol... I cant afford an auto elec, last one wanted $90 per hour plus parts.... which would prob mean me n my son wouldnt be able to afford to eat for a week or two haha!! Cheers in advance

My 2004 xr6t mk2, with 128,000k shakes a bit at idle, but its not a miss and a power balance test comes up clean. Its got new spark plugs in it and its not an intake manifold. Only happens when warmed up and also my interior light flickers. Battery is getting a bit old, but still pulls 388CCA. Car cranks and starts fine, and the alternator has 14.4-14.9v output, also its running rich, but my oxy sensor is putting out an up n down graph, which is good... any ideas why the three faults are present? Are they all related? Also there are no related codes stored in the pcm.

Recently I decided to replace my interior lights with coloured LED's from Coastal LED Supplies (Ebay). Off ebay I purchased the Map Light replacements and the Interior Light replacement. So to replace the Map lights was easy.. Using a narrow tipped flat head screwdrive the covers pop right out. The bulbs pull straight out of the sockets.. I made the mistake of thinking that I needed to rotate the sockets whichs causes them to disappear back into the roof of the car (Didn't get a picture of this).. But it was a painful operation with a pair of needle nose pliers to get that damn thing out. Insert the LED bulbs Then do the same with the main Interior light. It's worth noting that looking at the back of the LED array for the interior light it's single directional. So if it doesn't work the first time.. Take it out and spin it around. So the finished products (Without covers) Now I wasn't completely happy with how the map lights turned out.. As the LED only emits light from a very small focal point on the end of the diode.. So while it provides plenty of light in the cabin when you look at the lights there is a very noticeable point of brightness.. However all said and done here is a crappy Iphone photo of the end product at night time.. It doesn't illuminate the interior of the car anywhere near as well as the stock lights did.. But there is still plenty of light in the interior.. and while I couldn't get a decent photo through the glass as there was too much ambience from street lights etc.. It looks pretty awesome from the outside.
