Hi guys, I have been informed that I'm able to use XR8 valve springs in the XR6 Turbo engine, my question is would it be the Barra V8 or the Boss V8? I'm pretty sure my valve springs are shot, my car is standard apart from a front mount intercooler. When it gets to 2nd and 3rd gear in the higher RPM range it seems to want to stall and shudder. I've replaced my coils, I've cleaned my boost solenoid, tightened the exhaust manifold, but the problem is still there. The funny thing is it only started doing it when I changed the fuel filter, but I don't think that's the problem. First gear there's no problems with the car, it revs right out with no shudder or problems. I have also fitted stock rims on the back of it, I know it might sound stupid but do you think that could be doing anything to the traction control? I run the vehicle without traction control. The only thing I can think of is valve springs, I give the car a hard time but it hasn't been boosted or tuned, it's got 170,000kms. Also if I have to go to the trouble of replacing the valve springs, I was thinking of replacing the whole head with an FG head because I would prefer the better intake manifold and obviously the better head and valve springs, but will an FG head fit on a BA bottom end?
