Hey everyone, just purchased a new cooler kit for my NA Ford Falcon BF 2007 4 speed auto. Does anyone have any idea if buying this completely gets rid of the heat exchanger as one of the clips are leaking that connect to the heat exchanger and the clips are $180 so going with the cooler kit is much more efficient. If anyone knows how to install one of these could you comment in the thread below!
  2. Hey guys, After 3 years of waiting to get off my P's I got a 2012 fg xr6t auto 59,000kms Kinetic blue. What the best thing is, I now have two fgs, both the same year, same month build, same day, and they were both sent out on the same day!!! Same colour, but ones auto turbo ones manual na Anyways, I'd like to thank the people here for the info over the years for helping me find all the things I need for my NA haha Now, with the new car, it has a 3 year warranty, $5000 cover on anything that goes. In my mind I want to stop anything from happening, and the first thing that comes to mine is oil and transmission... Whats the best oil line to turbo feed to get? I heard earls is good, but what about intune? Also a oil cooler, I've seen some f6's running around with them on the front but I don't know the power they are making, remember my car is stock power, but I just want to keep it live for aslong as possible and have less trouble with it till I can get a engine/trans/turbo rebuild/forged etc. Bigger radiator, PWR are selling a 24mm alum radiator for around $700 Also a transmission cooler? is it better to go to ford and get one? or aftermarket? I have no idea on these, since I've driven manual all this time and not had one problem with it. thanks in advance guys!!! thanks again for all the help these last 3 years.

Just wondering if anybody has used/purchased the pingtune kit and installed it onto their FG turbo???? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FG-XR6-Turbo-F6-Intercooler-piping-kit-/181298728845?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a363f0f8d I noticed they are having a "sale" on their website....so its $320+$18 postage....which would have to be one of the cheapest kits ever made for the FG. Now....I gather their e-mail tunes are sh*thouse....but would their products be as well? The inner jew wants to stinge out....but after my last stingy effort (buying RDA instead of DBA)...the phrase poor man pays twice has never been so true for me So....anybody on here installed the kit and how is the quality of parts and the fitment of parts (and if tuned how much boost have you smashed in?)...as my one concern is they may have used cheap alloy piping (too thin?) and maybe their silicone/clamps are cheap as well....and perhaps a hardcore tune was enough to blow them apart lol or am I just being paranoid and there is nothing wrong with the kit??? It would be super duper if ACTUAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE INSTALLED IT can comment....but I'm not sure if the purchasers are on this site I.e. most of you would be rich/smart enough to go with brand name gear....the ebay listing says 21 kits have been sold (but if people were smart they would purchase straight from the website I would imagine?) and therefore there could be more than 21 cars rocking the high quality setup hahaha Thanks yall......
  4. Hi guys. I am reasonably new to the whole turbo thing and also a Ford fan after a lifetime of being a Expensive Daewoo fan (V8's) so its great to read some of the threads to get some ideas. I now tell my Expensive Daewoo loving mates im not going to argue with you,just go and drive a late model XR6T or G6Et,lol. Anyway,I bought a G6Et late last year and had it tuned plus ID1000 injectors. It made 271kws. Tomorrow its going in for the Nizpro cooler,Nizpro stainless exhaust (4 inch)with dual cats,dump and actuator. Firstly,what sort of power do you guys (and gals) think I might achieve without going too silly,this car will never see a drag strip or race track. I have read some things about 4" exhausts droning but my tuner has said it will be fine so if anyone has this system it would be great to hear from you,thanks. Also,with traction being a bit of an issue now its only going to make it worse although im not a hoon I do like to punch it now and then. I have owned some high powered S/C V8's and have never done burnouts on public roads but I would like more traction to go along with the increased power. I have 18' in wheels,what is the widest tyres I could put on those legally. Any input would be awesome, Thanks again.

  6. Hey all, I have recently disconnected the stock heat exchanger from my fg xr6t and fit an oil - air cooler. So far all is well, and more to the point... no chance of a milkshake in my gearbox! I used the PWR Cooler, got some lines, and a set of fittings from ebay (tried cutting the stock exchanger pipes off but it was to dodgy for my liking) I dont have an auto trans temp gauge however took it to the drags the other weekend, and no problems after 5 consecutive runs. Noticed the oil was a discoloured when installed the cooler, so I am going to get a flush very shortly... The install itself wasnt too hard, had to relocate the horn, and extend the fog light wiring a little bit... no big deal! Im pleased with the result. Running stock power levels atm, also I have a 10 inch thermo fan that im am going to fit to the front of my oil cooler, when I can be bothered :headbang2: This is the PWR cooler I used And the fittings I bought off ebay! Mounted the cooler under the DS headlight Used a die grinder and made a few slits in the wheel arch to let the air flow through! Any questions feel free to ask!
