Hey. I bought myself a slew of mods I've been installing as I've found the time. This weekend it's been an Antz stage2 intercooler, associated piping kit and an Antz turbo side intake and battery relocation kit. And while I'm still finessing her, I can just see myself having a chaffing issue in 6 months time cause she's rubbing all over the place. In particular, the cool side riser from the IC to the manifold is VERY tight inbetween the battery and the front of the manifold. Had to file back an aircon piping bracket for the IC to clear, cut open and re-tape the MAP sensor wiring to give me another inch to reach the new pipe, file out the lower IC mounting holes cause they were ~1cm too close together and *veryvery* carfully bend the power steering metal line and sensor out of the way of the new intake. Has this been peoples experience with these kind of kits? I mean, I'm use to fitting ebay sh*t on my farm ute and having to hack stuff to make it fit, but I'm having to bend, cut and file a little more than gets mentioned when watching installation videos. They might have just skipped over this finnicky stuff. And, I'm thinking I will wrap the IC pipes where they come through under the headlights in an attempt to hold them firm (foam? cloth?), and tie the cool side riser to the battery tray to stop it rubbing. Do people bother? Got better options? Cheers, Burbo.

Hey peeps... Just wondering if anybody has used/purchased the pingtune kit and installed it onto their FG turbo???? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FG-XR6-Turbo-F6-Intercooler-piping-kit-/181298728845?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a363f0f8d I noticed they are having a "sale" on their website....so its $320+$18 postage....which would have to be one of the cheapest kits ever made for the FG. Now....I gather their e-mail tunes are sh*thouse....but would their products be as well? The inner jew wants to stinge out....but after my last stingy effort (buying RDA instead of DBA)...the phrase poor man pays twice has never been so true for me So....anybody on here installed the kit and how is the quality of parts and the fitment of parts (and if tuned how much boost have you smashed in?)...as my one concern is they may have used cheap alloy piping (too thin?) and maybe their silicone/clamps are cheap as well....and perhaps a hardcore tune was enough to blow them apart lol or am I just being paranoid and there is nothing wrong with the kit??? It would be super duper if ACTUAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE INSTALLED IT can comment....but I'm not sure if the purchasers are on this site I.e. most of you would be rich/smart enough to go with brand name gear....the ebay listing says 21 kits have been sold (but if people were smart they would purchase straight from the website I would imagine?) and therefore there could be more than 21 cars rocking the high quality setup hahaha Thanks yall......

Going to be custom making the intercooler piping on my TT next weekend and wanted to know if 3 inch was the right size. What are your thoughts and what are you running?

Hey all, Recently I fitted a Cold air induction I purchased off fleabay,, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/COLD-AIR-INTAKE-KIT-FG-XR6-TURBO-XR6-6-CYL-ALL-FG-6CYL-MODELS-/350494826082?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item519b1e9e62 I didn't pay attention to the instructions properly and not realising I had to cut it to clear the IC piping I heard a very loud crack as I tried to forcefully push the side panel into place.. Headlight still works.. But there is a bit of play in the IC piping that is right near passenger side headlight. It's also worth noting that I changed the cone pipe at the same time and I haven't got a lid on the new Air box yet as it started to piss down rain so I went inside and hid.. Power wise it doesn't really feel any different.. But the induction sound has increased alot.. But now when I let off the throttle after giving it a bootfull I get this FFFFSSSSSSSHHHHHHOOOOOOOO noise.. Is this just the blow off valve letting go into the crossover making more noise because of the pod filter? Or have I managed the crack something essential? Or how would I tell? I couldn't notice any air escaping while a mate was revving it up but it's hard to tell given the location of the piping. Thanks in advance.
