Royal National Park Coast Road Cruise Sunday 25th May Meeting Place - WARATAH PARK RESERVE, SOUTHERLAND SHIRE Meeting Time - 0930hrs Departure Time - 1000hrs Finishing Point - GERROA BOAT FISHERMANS CLUB. Estimated Finishing Time - 12:45pm Duration - 1 hour 50min approx (does not include traffic conditions and rest stops and or emergency stops) CB Radio Channel - Channel will be allocated on the day. This is a family friendly cruise to which I encourage members to bring there wife, kids, girlfriend, boyfriend, mother, father, brother, sister, uncle, anuty, nan, pop who ever you want. We will meet at WARATAH PARK RESERVE, RAWSON AVE SOUTHERLAND (near the basketball centre plenty of parking) drive through the ROYAL NATIONAL PARK stopping at BALD HILL LOOKOUT before making our way to GERROA BOAT FISHERMANS CLUB for lunch around 12:45pm From our meeting point its a short drive up the road along RAWSON AVE and PRINCESS HWY before turning left onto FARNELL AVE. ROYAL NATIONAL PARK run along SIR BERTRAM STEVENS DRIVE and LADY WAKEHURST DRIVE before stopping at BALD HILL LOOKOUT for a stretch of the legs (kids run around) take some pics. 30minn should be enough. We then will turn left onto LAWRENCE HARGRAVE DRIVE for approx 17km (sea cliff bridge) Small run on the PRINCESS HWY 2km the turning left on MEMORIAL DRIVE for approx 16km Then its a smooth run all the way along the PRINCESS HWY for approx 52km 40min You have reached your destination. Obey all laws whilst on the cruise; this means no speeding, no overtaking over double lines (no matter how safe you think it may be), etc... 2. There is a designated cruise leader who will lead the way and set the correct pace for all cruise members. 3. Use the Buddy system - always make sure you can see the car behind you. This will give people behind you an indication on where to turn to make sure nobody gets lost. 4. CB Radios - if you don't have one, follow the maps and directions given out. It is highly recommended to have CB as it enhances the enjoyment of the cruise being able to hear about road hazards and join in on the social chatter. 5. Please turn up to the meeting points with a sufficient fuel in your tank and enough time before the departure time. 6. Onus is on the owner/driver to ensure their vehicle is safe to drive on public roads and meets State road traffic authority laws. 7. Please ensure you have a contingency plan if you have a breakdown or unnecessarily delayed. e.g. Roadside Assistance or a mate in another car who is willing to stay with you if necessary. 8. This cruise is not to be advertised on any other media or websites or social media sites without prior agreement from the cruise organisers. 9.
