Saturday racing will kick off at approx 11am test and tune for approx 2 hours, break for lunch, the rest of the schedule TBO. As time allows those that have been eliminated from the DYO event will be able to have some grudge match races. Cost for Saturday racing a prepayment of $15 deposit is required you can start paying this from today if you wish, the rest you pay on the day $60 at the gate. Donating members will pay a $10 deposit. We now have a pay-pal option for paying the deposit see below. Spectator’s entry fee is $20. Kids under 14 free. DYO Classes, 8.00 to 11.99 12.00 TO 13.99 14.00 & Over Outlaw: any car that is not powered by a Ford engine. As discussed last year in our feedback thread, this year we will be running a Chicago Shootout this will give every racer at least 3 runs after lunch and it gives those that travel so far a chance to have more than 1 run instead of being knocked out 1st round. You will all still run in brackets. Here are the rules that are generally used. HPR will be taking control of running the shootout. If you have any questions I can pass them on to HPR or you can ask them at the drivers briefing on the day prior to racing. Racing All Brackets will run Chicago Shootout – all competitors race 3 rounds and the best performing 2 make it into the final At the completion of bracket rounds, a count back will be made to establish the finalists. The criteria will be as follows - Two racers with three round wins a piece – automatic entry into the final regardless of red lights or breakouts in the last round. More than two racers with three wins a piece – any racer with a red light or breakout in the last round, regardless of whether you are on a bye run or not, will be excluded from this count back immediately. The count back is then based on elapsed time versus dial-in in the last round of racing. Reaction times play no part in the count back. The two racers who are closest to their respective dial-ins are then eligible for the final. If by chance the count back is a dead heat, it will then be based on the second last round of racing and so on until a winner is established. (Special Note: in the extreme case of only one racer being eligible, eg. All others red lit their final round but won the race, then the red light would be null and void to establish the second finalist based on closest to dial-in) One racer with three wins and one racer with two wins - automatic entry into the final regardless of red lights or breakouts in the last round. No racers with three wins and only two racers with two wins - automatic entry into the final regardless of red lights or breakouts in the last round. No racers with three wins and more than two racers with two wins – count back will be made as above Any dispute or questions regarding rule interpretations, please take them up with the HPR management. The HPR management decision is final. Full list of Sponsors, for Drags and Show N Shine TBA A list for Fridays test and tune, and a separate list for Saturday racing which requires the $15 pre-payment, you must be on the list to race on the Saturday and you pay your $60 at the gate upon entry. I am looking for quicker times at the track. What is the best way to make a 6 speed auto XR6 Turbo launch. Do you use the park brake? I've seen this done on a few Youtube videos. I simply slip it into Sports mode push for 1st and hold the brake, hit the loud pedal, let the car just start spinning the wheels and release the brake on the last yellow. Am I doing it right or is there a more effective method? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mick
