Hey guys, I'm wanting to lower the rear of my tray back as it was converted by previous owner to a one tonner and looks stupid high. At this point I've not much money to my name and so proceeded on getting a quotes on lowering the rear, one mech told me it'd cost me $200 and all he'd do was remove leaves from the spring pack. Not a bad price but if that's all he was gonna do I thought I'd have a crack at doing it myself. Is it pretty straight forward? Anything I should be wary of before I do it? From what I've read removing a couple of the bottom leaves is the best way to go until desired height is reached, correct? Also, one of the bottom leaves that I'm wanting to remove has a bracket welded to it (attached pic), which to me doesnt look like its doing anything, any thoughts on whether its safe to remove this leaf? Cheers for any help
