Hey guys looking for some advice. I converted my BA to a 6 speed manual and am about to wire up a reverse lockout solenoid Control box that actives under 8 kmh. The control box requires input from the vehicle speed sensor VSS. Some cars have this on the gearbox. But with the falcon the speed reads off the wheel bearings and into the abs? Can I tap into the two wire speed sensor from the back of the wheel for my VSS? Will abs affect any of this? Cheers http://www.grcperformance.com/Instructions/Reverse Lockout.pdf Attached is the instructions. Last page has the wiring diagram

I recently brought a xr6t ute 2007, when driving down the road about 5 ks the ABS & traction control lights come on the dash & wont go off until I turn the engine off. When I start the car back up the lights stay off. Any ideas to what this could be, how do I solve the problem?

Wasn't really sure where to post this so thought id start here, I'm having problems with my traction control, car isn't tuned and it's a bf mk2 xr6 turbo After driving for about 5 minutes the traction control light comes on and when I press the button it won't go away, only goes away when I shut the car off. It also when going around a left hand bend feels like the abs/ traction control is kicking in and the front end starts shuddering and wanting to brake and the traction control light start flashing but after about 5 seconds it goes away. Iv cleaned all abs sensors and scanned it with just a obd2 scanner and nothing has changed. It's happened ever since iv had my car (3 months) so it's nothing that I have changed on it that has made it do it, any help is much appreciated

Hey guys. I need some serious help. About 1000kms after my last service, which included the front rotors being machined. I have been getting intermittent ABS and DSC faults which stay on until I cycle the ignition. It would be ok for a while in a straight line on a hwy (for 150kms) yet when I braked harsh or broke before a hard corner the faults would appear again. It was very frustrating as I had my young daughter in the car, so was stressing that the ABS was off. I took it to the workshop that serviced the car, they visually inspected the wheel sensors (did not remove them) and connected a scan tool- These 3 codes were there- C1288 - Pressure transducer main/ primary input circuit failure. U2501 - Missing token from engine management sys for ACC C1991 - Module calibration failure. Note- I saw these code descriptions on the scan tool, yet the mechanic only wrote the codes not the descriptions, I found these online. So I hope they are accurate. Also after mentioning that my cruise wouldn't work sometimes since all of this. They checked my brake lights. I watched as very intermittently upon pressing the brake, the lights would not light up. This is even more worrying. I've looked into a new brake switch which I confident I can fit myself. Could this switch be the cause of all my problems? Or what are the codes relating to? as the workshop have now referred me to Ford. Would rather get it sorted myself if I can. Thanks in advance for your help on this.
