  1. You could try one of those mufflers that has a switch for loud or quiet. It bypasses muffler for loud or flows through muffler for quiet using a valve to change flow. Your idle is higher when it's cold so it will always be louder on a clod startup. More RPM = more noise. Get your Dad some ear muffs.
  2. Lunch, tasted good too.
  3. The guy's name is Bruno, explains a lot. Sorry to all the Brunos out there, but the movie destroyed your rep before I said anything!
  4. I have alloy pedals on my BA MkII, so that is no sign. I would at a guess say you have a BA MkII. You should have a leather steering wheel. It is odd that it has BF seats and a plastic steering wheel. You will probaly find that it was stolen and stripped hence the BF seats and the ZF. You could check your engine number to see if it matches the chassis number, that would be a dead giveaway. I would put my money on it being stolen simply because you would not put a plastic steering wheel on it on purpose. Also the bodykit could have been put on as the original XR bodykit was stripped as well. Is there a VIN stamped into the chassis on these cars? You should get the VIN checked.
  5. I thought the BF XRs had different graphics on the instrument cluster tacho and speedo to the BA? From memory it has hundreds of little dots? In the photo it sort of looks like the steering wheel rim is plastic as well? Nut that could just be my eyes!
  6. You flogged me at Powercruise in sydney this year down the straight, that car was extremely fast before this extra power.
  7. Neither. But I seriously dislike the whole bling look....if that is how you would want to describe it.
  8. As a guide, I had atomics supplid and fitted for $750. I contacted Brad at Atomic, bought his springs for $400 and the mechanic next door to him installed them for $350. Don't pay over $1000 for supply and install, that is a rort.
  9. Love the chicks on the grill. All you're missing is some lights down the sides and Kenworth mud flaps THey really do look great in red.
  10. I can't compare the brands for you. I have the Billet shifter, it has a nice feel to it compared to stock, but on very quick shifts from 2nd to 3rd, I can still miss the gear. It's probably just me though!
  11. 130 in a 50 zone is a little more than wrong wouldn't you think. Are you stupid enough to think that someone with a fairly quick car has the immediate inclination to be a wanker to impress a little kid? Or it is someone's right with a quick car to do stupid things? I can tell you right now, you will never see me in a 50 zone, 60 zone, 80 zone or 110 zone doing 130 for the purpose of impressing a little kid. Hypocrite, hardly.
  12. There are other crimes other than speeding you can be charged with. At the end of the day they are police officers and you did something pretty damn stupid especially in a 50 zone. Ask yourself this, if you were a cop and you saw someone do what you did, would you let it go? You should get busted, hopefully with dangerous driving or something similar to keep you off the roads.
  13. NRL can't afford to lose their game completely from a state. Why would it be beneficial for Storm to move to Central Queensland? Look at the AFL, look at the numbers each game gets to the grounds. If they were still only playing Victorian teams I can bet you more teams would have died, and there would be lower attendance. More viewers across more states equals more money.
  14. Maybe the people you know in Melbourne are not Storm supporters? Perhaps the other 324000 people who attended Storm games last year would think otherwise about the team moving to Dubbo.... Can anyone explain to me why State of Origin is played during the premiership season, taking the best players out of their team to achieve nothing? Off topic I know but it never made sense to me. The teams should build compensation into their contracts for players the NRL steals during Origin.
  15. Car: 2005 BA Mk2 XR6 TURBO Trans: T56 Power: 327 rwkw Boost: 15 PSI Induction: RAPID V3 Kit Exhaust: 4" dump, 5" cat, twin 2 1/2" Xforce Fuel System: Herrod intank replacement Intercooler: RAPID Cooler Injectors: Siemens 60lb's Tuner: C&V Performance I am told this is a very conservative tune by C&V. With a better bottom end it easily has 40-50rwkw more by just tuning alone. One day it will happen!
  16. I doubt the bets could be paid out at the end of the season. They have forfeited, therefore it is no longer a competition.
  17. I must say the Queenslanders (that I know at least) are unbiased and support all leagues. THey score fairly good crowds up there. As Kevin Costner said, "If you build it, they will come!".
  18. Let me sum up NSW supporters for you and their interest in anything but inbreeding, I moved here in 2005, the year Sydney Swans won the AFL. I watched the game at a pub, Sydney won, was a good match and they deserved to beat West Coast. As soon as that siren blew for full time. The pub was empty! No sticking around to watch the presentation, or see who got the Norm Smith medal, there was no heart in the support of their local team by any of the people there who left that pub. Victorians on the other hand embrace any sporting event that hit's the hallowed MCG.
  19. Huge? Depends what you mean by huge, their poker machine clubs are huge, multi story usually. Without their poker machine clubs they would go broke.
  20. That is big news in any league! I am sure Melbourne Storm will survive, the NRl cannot afford to lose the Victorian support. The NSW crowds are a pitiful joke at best. Who wants to go to a game with only 10000 spectators? Boooooriiiiiing. THe fact is that if Storm were to go under the NRl would do everything in their power to stop it from happening. People in NSW are so dumb, they would rather go to their teams pokie machine club and piss money away on a poker machine than go to a game and support their team in person. I am a Victorian living in NSW, sad I know, but temporary. The people here are so imbred about their state and their NRL it's quite funny actually. They still have a state of origin, NSW vs QLD, when there are players from all over the country playing and from NZ. How do you only play NSW or QLD? That is why the AFL has trampled all over the NRL, they had business smart people at the top promoting and expanding the game across Australia, now it is everywhere but NT and Tassie. NRL seems to have retarded ex players in the halls of management, who have had a few too may hits to the head in their day to understand it takes more than a business suit and a memory of the good old days to promote the game. Soccer is all over Australia, NRL can't leave the East Coast, they rely too much on the bogan factor. Look at the new Matty John's show, honestly, I feel sorry the guy got sacked, but his new show sums up the mentality of an NRL supporter if that is all they have to offer. Rant over. In short, the NRL will support Storm, they can't afford to lose them.
  21. Try QBE. I am with them, they have nom problems with mods. I think you can pay extra on the premium for each mod to have it covered.
  22. This was never revisited? How did you go with the testing? Did it all work out well?
  23. I saw an undercover G6ET the other day around Sydney. Was dark grey, looked completely normal except the lights in the rear window and the dash mounted stuff they have.
  24. Enjoy what you have until you are old enough to own a high powered car. Make it look good, there is nothing wrong with a tough looking cruiser. Like everyone is saying, whatever extra power you get will be minimal for the money spent. Best bet is just to change the diff gears. Probably the mod with the biggest power mod. I used to tinker with an EA Falcon on my P's, then with an N/A EF. Almost every stock SS would beat it, wasn't worth the money spent. At the time it seemed like it was, but looking back I could have done much better things with the money.
  25. Interesting article. THe changes have been needed for a while. No more cast iron and live rear axles. I can see the Camry coming in at some stage. Gone will be the 5 litre V8s and better rules to have different engines but limit them to similar performance. Sounds like a bit of variety like the old days.
