  1. fair call. thank for the advice!
  2. Thanks for the reply! In terms of engine reliability (F6 being at 360rwkw and GS being at 450rwkw), what would be better?
  3. Hi Guys- I currently have a 2012 FPV GS Mk11 with a tune and CAI, pushing out 367wkw. It's been great so far and I am looking at stage 4 upgrade packages (intercooler, smaller pulley, high flow cat, larger injectors and fuel pump). These packages seem to be going for around $12-$13k and as I understand the expected power output would be around 450rwkw. Now before I dive in an go ahead, I was wondering if it would be more cost effective to sell my car, by an F6 and invest $13k in to that. I understand that the max power output would be less with the F6, but comparing a few dyno graphs, I can generally see that the torque from 2500rpm --> 4800rpm on the F6 is significantly more than the GS. After that the torque curve on the F6 really drops off, where as the GS is linear right up until 6200rpm. Now with this being said, what would be a quicker car down the qtr mile; GS with the stage 4 package pushing ~450rwkw, or an F6 with $12k invested in it (pushing somewhere around 360-370rwkw I imagine??) Advice would be greatly appreciated!
  4. hey guys, thanks for your help, as for the auto not losing boost pressure, you can do the same with the manual, just hold the accelorator down slightly when shifting gears which will keep the butterfly open, but you must shift quick. So for a standard BF XR6 TURBO, the times are about the same is this correct (If one drives manual very well)? nd plus with auto you wouldn't be able to get the sexy flutter if you wanted to between gear changes. I guess I will just have to drive both cars and determine this for myself, you guys seem indecisive. lol... Cheers guys!
  5. Do you mean the manual beat the auto or the other way around.. lol youve confused me..
  6. couldnt you get a heaps quicker launch in manual by dropping the clutch at like 3000 rpm and kill an auto in like a 0-100 km.h time?
  7. Hey guys thanks for the help, but what are your reasons for prefering the Auto over the manual? lol.. I am quite disappointed to hear this news... I thoguht you guys would have liked manual better.... lol What time difference are we looking at between the two in lets say a 1/4 mile? Cheers
  8. Hey guys! I am new to this stuff, I had a look around but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for and I thought you guys could help me. I am planning on purchasing a BF XR6 Turbo MKII, however I don't know whether to get the 6speed manual or ZF 6speed auto. I saw the gear ratios on the ford website and the auto gear ratios were much smaller in every gear in comparrison to the manual box. Would this mean it would accelarate faster with an auto gear box? I've read heaps of reviews and all of them say the clutch is really stiff on the manuals, but that doesnt bother me too much, I just dont want to be losing speed by getting the manual box, what do you guys think? WOuld there be a difference in 1/4 mile times and 0-100km/h times? CHeers guys, any help would be greatly appreciated.
