  1. I tested it with two different boost guages connected where the bov vac line goes. I cant remember exactly what boost it was, but it was within what everyone said it should be. 8-9psi (from memory) def under 10psi. and a little spike on gear changes at full rpm
  2. the car came straight from the gov auctions, to me, and I def didnt flash tune it. so it was either 1.stock, or 2. modified by the police (but I checked the boost and it was stock)
  3. well as I said, I checked the boost, it was stock, so iam not sure what the police could have done to it? it would be unlikely that it was tuned, with no boost increase, and even more unlikely that I ended up with it, and raced it. ive read of a few running mid 12's stock, so is it not possible to run 12.3's with the xr8 airbox with the falken 452's, with a 1.7x 60'.
  4. with a stock zf and fg xr6 turbo the gearbox is changing gears just before or on the finish line, from what ive seen. with the quicker 60', and more mph to half track, the car changes gear a little sooner and continues to accelerate before crossing the finish line. heres a question, if it wasnt a stock tune, then the car was tuned by the police. what would have been done? there was no extra boost and still had the cut out when stalling in first.
  5. it wasnt a one off, I ran that car at three seperate street meets, best at each one was 12.31 to 12.39@111.7-112mph I have about 20 time sheets all under 13.0's as I said, with another fg xr6t I run 13.0@108-109mph, but that was last year in the middle of summer, it was one of the hottest days of the year, it was 42-44 degrees that day, and I hadnt worked out how it stall it up as well back then.
  6. ryno, I know what you mean, 112mph is around what a stock fg f6 runs, but with the quick 60' maybe it allowed it to pick up some mph at the end? stever, I didnt actually have a lot of warranty work carried out on the car, but nothing engine related, just diff bushes interior, pump, leaks, shocks etc etc ive actually sold that car a little while ago.
  7. yeah mine still had factory tune - throttle cut out, it took me a bit of practice on the street, to work out exactly where to stall it to. both of mine would cut rpm, around 2500rpm. if you stall them to high or for to long it cuts out and goes back it idle. not sure about f6's, but the xr6t's allow over 2000rpm before they cut out.
  8. yeah a lot of people say the same thing, as it ended up going 12.31@112mph, I cant see how it was tuned, as it wasnt running any more boost? plus it didnt feel any quicker then my other fg turbo on the road, and that went 13.0@108-109 mph but it was on a 42-44 degree summer day, and my stall technique wasnt a good, and it didnt have as good tyres. the better tyres made the difference I believe, and the stall speed, as you can see the 60' was quite decent.
  9. traction control was off on every pass, in peformance mode, but let it shift by its self. stall up against the foot brake till its over 2000rpm (around 2250rpm) and straight away, foot off brake while feed in the accelerator, DO NOT - hold it at the rpm and wait for the lights. When ever car was running, I had in neutral, when waiting staging, comming up to stage etc, drive up, any waiting, straight into neutral. with better tyres it would have gone quicker
  10. thanks guys, yeah I thought the diff gearing was stock, as for a tune, I tested different boost guages in the car and both showed stock boost levels 90% of the good 1/4 time was the 60', stall speed, and the brembos with the new disc's and pads front and rear helped a lot with stalling it up, also, the the tyres where falken 452's I took the car to 3 x street meets, and it run a best of 12.3 on each night. I "think" it had a 12.2 in it, but traction was a real problem.
  11. yeah got some time sheets here, ill post them up are you sure the diff gearing is different? iam sure it was the stock ratio.
  12. was good to meet a few guys tonight and see some nice and quick turbo fords, (I was in the white ex-chaser fg xr6 turbo). I really struggled for traction this time out, and my car is stock, so I can see why guys were having big traction issues with the cars running decent setups, on street tyres. first pass, I was the 2nd car to run and it spun really bad, and then wheel tramped, so I backed off, and recorded a PW (personal worse) of a 13.2@111mph next few passes I decided to lower the rpm I left the line at, as it wasnt hooking up anywhere near as well as last week. 60' were really hard to get right, it was a bit hit and miss, managed a couple of ok ones, best tonight was 1.881, then a 1.902, 1.909 car then went 12.4,12.5,12.4 all at around 112mph. next pass was the quickest I could manage for the night, with a high 12.3@112.2mph on the 1.881 60' and then had some more traction issues and run high 12's
