  1. Hey Goobz I've always used Yella Terra lightened flywheel (not sure if they make one for the BA etc) http://www.yellaterra.com.au/products/car-...l/flywheels.cfm Also try Race Brakes in Wetherill Park for a clutch From past experiences I've found that the alloy flywheel does wear quicker depends on your driving style or type of clutch (paddle v fullface , ceramic v organic ) but your motor will rev sweeter and quicker with a lightened flywheel. A fullface organic clutch will be easier on you flywheel If your using a T56, get a short shifter from Harrop you won't beleive the difference

cheers mate Yeah the pistons have a dished bowl design but didn't think the gudgeon pin was smaller , doesn't make any sense really . The reason for a floating gudgeon pin is so the load is shared across the bearing . Maybe it's smaller so it doesn't add unnecessary weight to the reciprocating mass .The top two piston rings are different design as well , in order to cope with the higher temperatures .
  3. looking for a back door lol what ever happened to simplicity, car manufacturers are making it harder doesn't look like it's possible to get from underneath and behind don't blame you at all at avoiding the ICC removal but if its the only way I'd take my time or get someone else to do it for you cheers mate that's where I'll put mine so they are out of sight. Might even make a panel to cover them when parked, make them totally stealth.
  4. Hey Ninka Is that a price from ford What kind of fuel pumps are you guys using and at what power level do you change them. cheers
  5. interesting set up 'f-wolf' are the guages hard to read in that location thinking of a similar set up as I don't want to have anything obvious when parked on the street. But I must admit the tripod/cobalt guages combo rules
  6. Came across a few articles on the XR6T and they quoted some facts on the BA turbo engine I was reading the differences between N/A & turbo and one statement caught my attention "Connecting rods, bearings and the crankshaft are all carried over from the standard engine. " Is this true? In the BA at least are the rods the same, do they share the same part number?
  7. The XR6 Turbo runs the same injectors as the N/A engine, only increased rail pressure The fuel delivery system is up-rated to 4 bar, a 40 per cent increase on the standard fuel pressure. The turbo 6 has a larger capacity in-tank fuel pump Are you doing an N/A to turbo convertion, if so a Malpassi pressure regulator will increase rail pressure to around 4 Bar if you can't find a XR6T one I'm doing a conversion soon, just getting some parts together
  8. cheers mate looking forward to your results did you change anything on your motor such as valve springs and fuel system or is everything standard thanks
