  1. I take it you have had an edit? Theres another little tweak/change the fella's that do the edits need to do. Mine does the exact same thing, stays on til I restart car. Flip side, I always turn off T/C if I wanna up it, I reckon TC on while trying to go fast is dangerous, too sporadic for my liking.
  2. So the need new rubber for the back, fronts are fine, so will put fron to back and new ones on the front. Not a daily driver but over 300rwkw so cheap n nasties aren't the go. Recommendations ? $$ ? I'll do the usual ring around tomorrow but just thought I get some opinions. Thanks
  3. Short sweep - cheaper, less indicators, doesn't really match if the other gauge is full sweep http://www.modyourcar.com.au/product_info....roducts_id=4591 Full sweep - looks cooler http://www.modyourcar.com.au/product_info....;products_id=82
  4. yeah I agreem full sweep to keep em the same, I did find the same gauge on us ebay for like $220 aud, bargin, will get that and save 150 from getting it local.
  5. Is it that painful to do the mechanical oil pressure gauges? Just trying to justify the $400 vs $100 cost. Mechanical http://www.modyourcar.com.au/product_info....roducts_id=4585 Electrical http://www.modyourcar.com.au/product_info....;products_id=82 Thanks
  6. Just wondering what gauge to get apart from the boost? Obivously the autometer cobalt series, just going the mechancial boost gauge and hook in before the bov, but for the other one, not sure what to get. Also dont want it to be a major install if I can avoid it. Just wondering whats involved in install the oil temp or oil pressure ones? Cheers
  7. unplug the jets, see if the water squirts out there, if it does, just blocked jets, if it doesnt, start following the line back. Also this may sound weird, but try it with the bonnet open. On my old EL everytime you shut the bonnet, the line was sitting in the wrong place and was crimping the line, I'd open the bonnet to test it again, and it worked. Felt like a doofas afterwards.....
  8. hey guys, its called rendezvous, see below, realllly old movie but awesome none the less. http://www.rendezvousdvd.com/
  9. This is just a copy n paste from another sight including title (doesn't look like a VU to me but anyways)...... This happened in Kalgoorlie Saturday night (10/03/07)... VU SS torn in half @ 150kmh!! At about 6pm the ute was travelling along and has been literally torn in half, separating the fuel tank, rear firewall, tray, bumpers and tray liner. In a 50kmh zone, an eye witness estimates the ute to be doing between 150-200km/h. They have gone through one of Kalgoorlie’s notorious spoon drains and launched into the air, upon bouncing back to earth something broke and the driver lost control. They then jumped the curb and launched passenger side on into the tree pictured. The photo from side on of the cab you can see the fuel tank on the ground between the police. The owner of the ute is just 21 and hasn’t had the car for long. He was not driving, his mate was is just 17 was, in one of the pics there is a Cougar can on the ground next to the car and an witnesses said they appeared to be drunk. Initial reports were the owner was out of the ute yelling at his mate 'look what you have done to my ute', the driver was laying on the ground. Both got away with only scratches and the driver had a bruised shoulder and is also getting charged with reckless driving.
  10. my bad, Brisbane, QLD, wedding is at Tambourine.
  11. One of me mates is getting married and they are after a 1933 Ford, Black 4 Door (see photo) as a wedding car, preferrably two. They don't want to borrow it or anything, they'll hire the owner for the drive. Anyone know of any? I'm also chasing up a few hotrod clubs too...
  12. Wanna have a play with some LED lighting for inside/outside the car, instructions say they run off 12V, wheres the best place to get this from? Externally should I just run a line to the battery with a fuse or will the current be too much? Thanks
  13. yeah goldie I'm the lucky owner who bought sutty's old car, runs like a dream. to the question about peformance, I could never get the dial to over 7 for which I consider normal listening volume without shutting off. now with the change to series, I can run to 20 (loud enough to not need anything else) and still sounds great. I cant any quality difference between it now at 20 and then at 7. I do hear rattles ofcourse but that is probably the original sub vibrating as the installer also left the original sub and amp in there, doofas. I gotta pull those out sometime....
  14. nope, mean 8ohm's. With dual voice core subs, you are effectively running two speakers one the 1 channel, so if have a dual 4ohm sub, when running in parallel it keeps them as separate speakers : 2 x 4ohm cores running in parallel = 2ohm, if running them in series, it does the opposite, so 8ohm. there is no way to run them at 4ohm unless u have two subs and run them both in 8ohm which gives u 4ohm. Confusing yes but heres a great page that explains better: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=161
  15. hey fella's, thanks for all the tips. I have finally got the answer from the very helpful fella's over at www.caraudioaustralia.com. It turns out the guys who installed the amp, sub, wiring and splits wired the sub for 2ohm (remember the sub is dual 4ohm voice core) which was bad consdering the amp doesnt run stable at 2ohm. the fellas advised how to rewire the sub to 8ohm, and wa la, works like a treat, nice and loud, and no more cutting out. I would recommend anyone having issues to check em out, plus theres a few blokes there who have ba's who have done aftermarket steroes. heres my thread. http://www.caraudioaustralia.com/forums/in...opic=78523&st=0
  16. also the points this year are rewarding speed, not consistancey so in theory everyone is gonna go for it.
  17. looks hot, damn hot, pppppiece from here, ppppiece from there, all so easy. the lnowdnes, was a hint last year at vodafones "now" advertising. reading in auto action today says they have pretty much gone with big exlusive sponsors instead of 1 big and 50 small. I assuming is a marketing /money thing. It goe son to say vodafone will tie the v8's sponsorship in with the football and everything else they sponsor so I guess they want exclusive colour and what not. p.s. see their f1 paint...
  18. I would help......if they move the wedding to queensland....
  19. cheers fella, keep me posted shock. just confirming though, a low signal strength from the head deck would make the amp cut out reporting over voltage? or more likely is it the installer has the amp gain set too high to allow for the low signal volts and therefore over working iteself?
  20. Alright it aint a T, its a little baby Fiesta, only about 6 months old but the drivers door and rear drivers side door squeeks/creaks like theres no tomorrow. Every service at Ford I complain and they lube it which fixes it for a week then back to squeekn. Its a small yet annoying problem and next time at Ford I'll get a bit stroppy and say replace the bastard rubbers but wonder if theres a fix that anyone knows of, it drives me maddddd. Cheers Josh
  21. Hey everyone, I have a 2003 T with Preium sound. I recently got installed profesisonally an Alpine V12 MRV-345 Amplifier, Alpine splits and a JL 12" W3 Dual Coil Sub in the boot with custom box. Now the problem I'm having is after even a few minutes of heavy-bass music, the amp cuts out and flashes "CUR" which according to the manual means "the amp has been shutdown due to excessive current". I also got a Cap installed as suggested by the installer as it "should" fix the problem, but alas it keeps happening. The installer advises that the problem is the output the head deck (the whole .5v thingo) isn't giving the amp enough signal. The guy was saying that the input into the amp is using the low line input or low level input, can't remember the proper name, and that the head deck just isnt giving it enough. I was told my options were, new head deck mounted in the tisuse box, use a line level amp but it can decrease quality drasticly or use the alpine hub pro. I didnt really want to add a second head deck as I like the factory look. Any help is much appreciated. Josh
  22. if bullet started way back when there weren't any upgrade path / stage kits, it starts as trial and error. one exhaust works to a certain power, then find out the hard way that you need to replace it to go to the next step, more $$..... try the uniquecars and even just carsales.com.au and what not, that's where I bought sutty's old car from and there were a number of other high end cars in the $30+ price range
  23. in the browns plains area there is a black ss ute with exhaust and chromes, again with a sticker but cant remember what it is. gone are the good ole days when if the car had a towbar, different wheels, sun roof or factory body kit you could rule out a undercover. hell the other day I saw an ss sedan with personalised plates. crazy man crazy
  24. also for cobalt gauges, check out http://www.modyourcar.com.au/product_info....roducts_id=4581 they have heaps of gauges n stuff and seem pretty cheap.

    What To Do?

manual? nothn wrong with an auto, says my 11sec auto, if u get enough power you forget about changing gears and start focusing on keeping the bugger in a straight line. you will always loose money on cars so you might as well enjoy it as I enjoy watchn 200sx's in the rear view mirror......
