  1. I was thinking at the end of this month. Sunday 28th August. I'll check out the route tomorrow.
  2. Love the F6 in white! I don't think your number plate covering in pic #7 will be very effective.
  3. High Country Cruise 2011 Updates will be posted in this first post and the itineray may change over time as necessary - so please check back regularly on this first post DATE:Sunday 28 Aug 2011 DESCRIPTION: This cruise was put together by Adam so thanks mate cos it looks a doozy Departing BP Wallan after a early morning coffee, we cruise up in a leisurely line up the Hume Freeway til we reach Glenrowan BP for a quick toilet break and 98 RON top up. Then shortly after leaving the BP we take an off ramp to head to Oxley (pls note Rudiger mate ) then onto the start of the Targa High Country leg at Whitfield. You'll understand why Targa chose this as one of their legs when you drive it - enough said Then it's into Mansfield where we have a sit down for lunch and a chin wag. After a hearty lunch, it's off again towards Eildon but taking the back south road - according to those who have driven it -it's pure twisties porn Regroup in Eildon for a photo opp near the dam wall (Dillz mate ) and after a quick coffee and farewells - those heading to West of Melbourne could go via Yea to Hume Freeway and those heading to South East Melbourne could head south via the Black Spur. All up actual route is about 345km from meet point to Eildon. We should end up in Eildon about 3pm then however long it takes you to get home from there. All on sealed roads. MEET: Depart 8am Wallan BP on Hume Freeway ROUTE: LUNCH: Mansfield (Venue TBA) BRING: CB Radio (almost mandatory) EvilDaifu has a few spare loaners, Camera, Sunnies , Warm clothes (it's Winter after all) RULES: 1. Obey all laws whilst on the cruise; this means no speeding, no overtaking over double lines (no matter how safe you think it may be), etc... 2. There is a designated cruise leader who will lead the way and set the correct pace for all cruise members. 3. Use the Buddy system - always make sure you can see the car behind you. This will give people behind you an indication on where to turn to make sure nobody gets lost. 4. CB Radios - if you don't have one, follow the maps and directions given out. It is highly recommended to have CB as it enhances the enjoyment of the cruise being able to hear about road hazards and join in on the social chatter. 5. Please turn up to the meeting points with a sufficient fuel in your tank and enough time before the departure time. 6. Onus is on the owner/driver to ensure their vehicle is safe to drive on public roads and meets State road traffic authority laws. 7. Please ensure you have a contingency plan if you have a breakdown or unnecessarily delayed. e.g. Roadside Assistance or a mate in another car who is willing to stay with you if necessary. 8. If you wish to post this cruise up on any other social media site e.g. facebook, myspace, twitter - please obtain permission from the Cruise Controller/Mod organising the cruise first. 9. By attending this cruise you agree not to hold FordXR6Turbo.com, it's Administrators, Moderators, Cruise Controllers, or Owner responsible / liable for any damage and / or grief sustained (simply; you are responsible for your own actions). 4. Should not have any effect at all. Did you disconnect the battery when you fitted the new pump?
  5. Weren't you one of his customers?
  6. Yep... Mal Wood's Strengthened Diff Cover.

    Next Vic Cruise

Here's the road I was talking about... It was fully sealed late last year. A couple of us drove it in January and we all agreed that it needed a bit more traffic over it to bed the surface in. It should be good now. It's a very popular road with the road bike crew, and why not I guess? 56km's of twisting high country roads with no other roads (only bush tracks) running onto it.
  8. A ute will get you more money back on resale though. I chose a sedan over a ute the second time around because the utes aren't as refined. The NVH in the ute is terrible.
  9. I would seriously doubt that. All of those mods could void your warranty. There's plenty of cases of warranty being voided just for an exhaust mod alone.
  10. I suggest keeping the comments in this thread of a legal nature. There's stooges on all forums and talk or insinuations of illegal activity could come back to haunt people if by chance something was to happen.
  11. That doesn't surprise me at all! He used to tell plenty of people that he tuned Geea's car too.
  12. These type of stories is the reason we got rid of him from this forum.
  13. Isn't it law that businesses need to have insurance? I'm sure there's plenty of business owners on this forum that will be able to answer some of your questions.
  14. 12 months! WTF! That's one long build! I bet he's glad to finally get it back!

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

My steering would shake slightly under medium to heavy braking. Changed the lower control arm bushes and the shaking is gone.
  17. No pictures. They're pretty close to white. These are heaps better than all those blue looking globes you can get.
  18. Just enjoy the car bud. All coolers suffer from heat soak. Some more than others. Overall yours must be performing ok given the results you have. Your tuner probably would've mentioned it if it dropped heaps of power after a few runs.
  19. Ant, you've got nothing to prove mate. Don't worry about it. There was only one person doubting you and he hasn't replied since most people supported you.

    Newbie :)

T56 is the 6 speed manual.
  21. My car makes just over 300 with factory crossover on 12psi. I'd get pretty close to those figures if I put 3 more PSI into it and ported the wastegate. Impellor, you do realise that the torque readout is at the wheels? The torque has been multiplied by the transmission, torque converter if it's an auto, diff, diameter of the wheel/tyre and the dyno roller. I could show you a graph with 2413Nm and 311rwkw's. Feel free to ask questions about someone's results, but please do it respectfully.
