  1. I agree with Ken on this one. Some people have posted a photo of every possible angle of their car inside and out. There's nothing wrong with wanting to show off your car, but can we limit how much you can show it off.

    Whistling Noise

There's nothing mechanically wrong with the diff, it won't break because it whines. They all do it at some point. The only reason I'm replacing mine is because the whine is spot on 100kmph. If it was at say 85 I wouldn't bother.

    Whistling Noise

I hadn't considered that it might be the diff and maybe the window is where the sound is entering the cabin. Hmm, might have to investigate further. Well people it turns out it's the diff. A while ago I told the service manager and he really didn't seem to keen to help, but after taking Fordtech to the FordForum drag meet at Heathcote last Saturday I'm getting a new diff at the 15,000km service. We had just left town cleared the 80kmph zone and was at 100kmph for about 15 seconds when he said "have a listen to your diff!!!". He tells me the new one will still make that noise but hopefully not at 100kmph. As long as it's not between 100 - 120kmph I'll be happy.
  4. I voted the other way. It's the best car I've ever owned, but there's still been a few problems, leaking trans fluid twice when less than 500km. Wouldn't engage reverse twice at 800km, replaced solenoid in the auto. Now a new diff for the ute, it whines spot on 100kmph, no less, no more. Getting replacement at 15,000km service, only 3000km to go.
  5. Bug and tar remover works OK, it will remove any wax you've applied so you'll have to re-wax, I've got some of the Meguiars stuff but after using it I prefer ms700's way, just lightly use the mesh side of the meguiars glove, you can also use it on the windows, just rub as hard as you like on the glass.
  6. So at what point would the auto upgrade be recommended? phase 2, 3 or 4. Or would you suggest the auto should be upgraded even after phase 1, to be on the safe side.
  7. I don't agree, I reckon FF has too many categories, too confusing to navigate around plus would create too much work for mods trying to keep track of all the posts and make sure they are in the right area. :( Your not wrong there! That's why I like this site better, it's easier to view and navigate. The blue makes the text easy to read for people with bad eyes like me, except when they change the text to blue or dark green.
  8. And here it is..........Handbrake Problems
  9. That's just flat out wrong! If I did that to a customer here at work I'd be shot! I would've collected my deposit back and then walked right out of there, after telling the salesman exactly what I thought of him and also telling every customer in the joint the story!......That makes me a little mad!
  10. I was just thinking. When the XR6T first was released, the mags etc said that the car had great tuning potential, but it would never be fully explored because the XR6T has a limited market (Aus/NZ) unlike say the WRX. How things have changed! Now we have various different tuners all trying their own products, producing many different levels of power via 3 or 4 (dare I say maybe 5) different phases or kits. What interesting times we live in. Well done to everybody who's having a go, good luck for the future!
  11. Do you how they came to suspect that car then?
  12. If you do a search you'll find a thread with a link to their webpage with pictures on it. From memory hypnodoc was the thread starter, he got one fitted to his car I think.
  13. The handbrake is a direct mechanical link, whereas the ABS is controlled electronically so I doubt the two are connected. I've been told the handbrake in the fords can't withstand that type of punishment, have you ever noticed the handbrake in the VB challenge cars? Definately not stock. But hey it's your car treat her as you see fit.
  14. GO BLUEPRINT!!! IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!!! At the time of posting: 30 - Blueprint 23 - Mercury Silver 27 - Phantom I quite like Lightning Strike for the record, saw one with really dark window tint, very nice!
  15. I've seen FNFAST on a VN wagon! WNATRY on a nissan skyline. I know of someone who was thinking of putting HRTSUX or HSVSUX on there car. I suggested GOTOIL for my brother in laws VX SS.

Mr Brown eye I suppose :banghead: Funny how everyone jumps to that form of conclusion! But no your wrong! I could tell you but I would just be laughed at and the story is completely made up anyway, but the names still stuck!
  17. Could you tell the difference just by looking at it?
  18. I don't think resale has anything to do with it. At the end of the day these cars are only Ford Falcons, an everyday family car, the colours are hardly rare, they're not an exotic european sports car. I think it's just away for Ford to keep things refreshed, something new to catch the buyers eye.
  19. Very lucky mate! Didn't damage the suspension in any way? .....Shouldn't this thread be somewhere else???
  20. That's exactly my opinion! My mates VS V6 ute is a bucket of bolts, you floor the gas and the engine screams but you don't really seem to be going any harder. I realised this before I got my T as well, when I had an EF. Sure will!
  21. You would have to drive a massive amount of km's before the fuel saving would offset the price of the nizpro kit! I'm not having a dig at nizpro's pricing, I'm just saying nobody will buy one of those kits to save a few litres of fuel.

Name's Adam. My friends, even my dad and brother call me Wink. No you won't guess why?
  23. Not sure what the connection with the phase 3 kit is but I know there's been an issue with the valve springs in stock form on some T's, so modifying doesn't help the sisuation any. This problem has happened to a few members here so I'm sure they'll post what the specific problem with the springs are.
