Peter from APS told me that the utes suspension setup is better for drag racing, not to mention the $ figure is smaller to. The utes in the test I refer to are just stockers as far as I know.

Just noticed in the latest motor mag that next month there's a shootout between the XR6 Turbo, XR8 and SS utes. And to make it even more interesting they're all autos. I'm the backing the XR6T, due to the fact that we know the XR8 is slower already and the auto in the SS is pretty average compared to the BA's slusher, if they were all running manuals I think it would be line ball between the SS and XR6T. Anyone else got an early pick? One month to go.....

Yes. As for how it's done I'm not sure, dyno's and laptops/computers play a part I would think. I'm sure it's much more involved than punching a few keys on a computer and off you go though. Maybe Peter or someone who has had it done could tell us.

I'm amazed the people who have the brake shudder keep getting it after the rotors have been machined time and time again or even had the rotors replaced. I feel sorry for you guys, reoccuring problems, no matter what they are just rip your guts out.

Brand new that ute would cost $36,455 + on road costs and tinting (Ford website). Maybe they're banking on someone not wanting to wait for one? Bit strange to see a second hand car with a price that didn't include the on road cost calculated into in already.

From what I understand APS (possibly others aswell) conducted tests that have shown the performance of the ford fuel pump when new can provide the pressure but over time the performance of the pump dramatically decreases to the point where it's incapable of providing enough pressure, to an engine with phase 2 or higher modifications.

I've been pulled over for random breath tests a number of times and all of the police just want to talk about the T, a few times they've almost forgotten to give me the test.

I remember something about this. The chip isn't from Ford though, I think it was an Xede (could be wrong). Regardless, I wouldn't be buying an off the shelf chip, without it being specifically tuned to my car first.

Could tlo finally hear that the coin has two sides after all, everything not bad for everyone. Maybe the mods could make this a friendly XR6T thread and keep all the complaining posts to the many other threads already going. I'm not having a go at anyone, it would just be nice to see a thread that's all smiles!

That's right! Power to weight is a big factor. The Fords have got the neddies but they are heavy, so if a Late model camira has similar power and is lighter I reckon your in trouble. But in a once off drag it's anybodys race, those mags do many runs which are timed properly before they achieve the best possible time on the day.

As I understand it the contract of sale doesn't point to any specifics of the car eg. VIN, SIDO numbers. As long as the dealer supplys the car as described on the contract they have forfilled their obligation, no matter how long it may take, unless you write in a delivery clause.

Your not wrong! I saw a adventra in town yesterday the owner of the local Expensive Daewoo dealership was driving it, and they're small! A lot like the subaru outback. I agree the territory is like a kluger, what a name!

FORDTECH told me whatever you do get a factory fit towbar. Much neater than the dealer fit jobbie. And he was right!
