If a member who isn't a donating member clicks on the link you've got here does it work. Has anyone tried it? Have they now got a back door to the donating members forum?

I don't know anyone who has it removed. It's done via the WDS ford dealers have, from what I undrstand it's fairly easy to do with the right equipment.

At least the so called colour wars doesn't get taken seriously causing some interesting comments like some other threads do.

I see what your saying RATT. I think there being stories of people placing orders for GTHO's is proof that one day the next generation GTHO will become a reality, the dealers must know it's going to happen or else they wouldn't take orders.

I was suprised to see the option for the ute Glenn in your poll, probably the first time you've covered all the bases...you know what I mean! I would have got premium sound if it had been available, I wanted that colour screen!

People are always going to speed no matter what they drive, where they drive or whatever the speed limit is raised/lowered to. If people want to drive at whatever speed they desire so be it, if you drive really fast with no traffic around and you crash you've hurt no-one but yourself, you knew the risks. It's when these people decide to do it in traffic where their actions could impact on someone else, if something goes wrong you could injure or kill someone else traveling on the same road and that's just being irresponsible. How off topic has this thread gone!

I think we're getting confused with: 1) An offical order placed by the dealer care of the customer to Ford with; 2) An order placed by the customer with the dealer. The second option is more like a intention to buy agreement between the customer and dealer. I agree at this point the order can't be placed by the dealer to Ford. But the dealer has a confirmation, in the form of a deposit that once the GTHO is released the customer will buy it from them. Any dealer who declined to take a deposit off a customer for a GTHO even at this stage would be stupid becasue they are effectively losing a sale of a vehicle reported to retail at around $100K.

Paint protection isn't worth it full stop! I know guys who apply this stuff and they all say it's sh!t and extremely over priced!

I know exactly what your talking about Ken, I logged off 12noon Saturday and logged on 9am Monday and had 4 pages of topics to read through! mate ... please sit down ... sorry to break the news mate .... the trip computer is confused and is giving false readings (it is calibrated for the stock pump/delivery) more power - more fuel delivery - less economy the economy is still excellent ... only down 15-20% from stock ... amazing given the massive power gain your 80L tank should still get you there :lol: OK then, so answer this. If the trip computer is calibrated for the original fuel pump why do the reading change at all, wouldn't they just stay as they were before.

Well, from the reports on this forum I think your wrong. In fact I think someone here has one on order!

One would think that if ford knows that there are 12 cars without a head gasket then they would also know which 12 cars they were, or at least what batch or day the cars were built from there I can't imagine it would to to hard to track these cars down.

Been in a territory have you Glenn? As I understand it the escape is more of a traditional 4x4 capable of handling more serious offroad places than the territory, the explorer is the full time 4x4 for the really rough stuff, and the territory is more of a soft off road vehicle designed to go offroad but still remain on fairly well maintained roads, the yuppies 4x4 in other words.

I think you'll find using the horn and flashing the headlights will do the job!

I would have to wonder how meyek3 managed to order his XR in offshore then? Offshore looks like a blue they used on EF/EL's not sure what it was called then.

I thought the GTS 300 was only offered in an auto sometime last year, because they had trouble getting the auto to handle the kw's. You may be right though if your talking about older models.

That price seems reasonable to me, considering what you get. After all the StreetPilot III has colour screen and voice prompted directions aswell and their $2795RRP, although being portable means no install fee.
