  1. I'm going with a generic tune from Herrod for my FG and I don't think there will be any problems. But if your running thre flash tuner 2 or 3 you can make adjustments on the fly for e.g drop the timing globally if needed or put more fuel into it. Also Rob herrod aways backs up his products and if you have a problem his always fix's the problem.
  2. I like herrod and always had no problems with them. They are also the oz people for the flash tuner 3. Capa and all the likes buy them from Rob.

    Brake Fluid

I'm away from my car and I wanted to know how much brake fluid do I need for my brake change on my FG. I'm changing to Brembo 4 spots at the front. Also what fluid recomended for brembo's, I want something good.
  4. You shouldn't have a problem with them if they are for BA - BF. I have a FG I'm running 18*8.5 at +30 and without some camber they would rub. I'm looking at trying 18*9.5 at +38 on the rear, should fit.
  5. The FG is alot worse than my old BA. axle tramping and if your no totally smooth on quick shifts, a nice clunk. I've got coilovers that only really start to get rid of the problems once they are wound right up. I have heard that swaybars and diff bushes as well as craydle bushes should make a difference. Time will tell.
  6. Love those 20's pity they don't fit over brembo's or I would of brought a set ")
  7. its the population of AJs that bring up all the holdens. Sounds like great day mate, I missed it as I had a wedding on the saturday which I had been running around like a headless chook. I'm very interested to have a look at you car! I'll show you the brakes I have ready to go on
  8. most tyres won't handle this kind of power, the best bet is to go with a semi slick. Fedreals get a great write up on semi slicks. but beware that as long as your wheels are spinning all that torque isn't ripping your diff, clutch and gearbox to bits. Sounds like a weapon dude.
  9. I think they look great, pitty the sedans can't fit a 10 on the bum. should suit it well and good price too. I ran nitto's on my old 20's they had great grip.
  10. I've had an airbag failure which ford will take 3 weeks to get the parts. It's cruse control will work then not work! the sound system does it own thing sometimes. Best of all these problems never work when you take it back to ford. I've had panels replaced because they where stuff from ford. It's also a FG xr6 turbo with 2000km. My last BA xr6t dropped a water pump at 45000km but I was a bitch to it
  11. I'm am running those big dollars Work rims but they aren't that expensive. Talk to Erko again that's who I got mine through. you can get F6 copies in 18's for around the 1500 with sh*tty tyres. I slapped my 245/40/18's on the work rims 18*8.5 and they provide heaps of grip. Have a look a fedrel tyres for semi slicks from all the reports for little dollars they provide a good tyre. I'm running dunlop Sports and they are a great tyre but not progressive. If they are for track work run a rim and tyre that allows you power level, a 225,235 isn't going to provide you with heaps of grip with 280rwkw. Good luck with it. Go with MT's for drag most likely run streets!! don't mix and match drag tyres with street tyres you'll hit the wall!! Dale
  12. I see how close the weights fit on the rims, might need to have them re-balanced and move them in a bit. I'm going to get them test fitted just to make sure everything fits correctly. Yeah I'll be using. the car for some track sprints, we have a track day on the 22-23rd which a session only for late model FPV's and Falcon at hidden valley raceway in darwin. Excited, I went for abit of a strap and with the coilovers and lightweight rims even with the standard tune its a very quick car for the street. Even more so than my last yellowturbo that was modded. Should be interesting to see what I run, I guess a good time to start with would be a 1:30. The quickest HQ's are getting 1:31's and I believe the V8 supercars are down the 1:18 something like that anyway thanks for the feed back guys
  13. cool cool, my brackets have the same numbers on them. I also rang sydney racebrakes and they said they will fit. what rims are you running over the top? I've got works rims in 18's with Pos 30 offset. hopefully I won't have any problems Thanks lads
  14. Yeah I'll be up for any organised event.

    Brembo's

Is there any marking on the mounting brackets to say if they are for FG. I believe that it doesn't matter and the just need to be reversed to the other side. they are brembo 4 spots. Dale
  16. I have a FG and the it came up with a airbag fail as a fault 2 days ago. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had that problem. The car can still be driven but it has an annoying little light flashing. The car is at ford now, getting a few things fixed and looked at. Eg. a loud diff (common ford thing) lightness in the steering, rattles. should I go on?!?! lol What has gone wrong with your FG, Mine has had these problems at 1800km too. Can't wait to hear thing one. dale
  17. I'm running 30+ Works rims and I have no problems with clearance, mind you I have some camber on it. And it's a FG. I love the wide offset they sits 11mm out on the normal FG rims.
  18. I'm running +30 on a fg with a 8.5inch rim, without camber I think it would scrub. but welldone with getting a 10.5 on the bum
  19. On my second XR6 turbo now, had a BA turbo and before that I had quick jap cars. Mazda Familia, toyota starlet GT, etc. The falcon turbo are heavy but all so good... It's hard to go past to xr6 turbo.
  20. I put coilovers in mine and have no problems, I'm also running +30 offset rims without and drama;s either. I would think with the correct offset you could run 9.5 in the rear.
  21. thanks man. It handles great but I found out that you can't drive it on the street with the dampers and rebound at the highest rate. Way too hard. But I'm very happy with the ride height and the way it drives.
  22. Got my new coilovers fitted yesterday. Running Pedders. I like the ride height., haven't taken it for a good drive just yet. Hope you guys like it.
  23. I'm going dark grey in a works rim in 18's on a blue FG Turbo car. I put up a picture when I get them on
  24. scratches!! My bad, can't spell or read..lol But damn it made me angry ( I should read it back before I post it.
  25. Rito, got some coilovers going into my FG Xr6 turbo tomorrow. I want to setup my camber just right for some track work. Also I want to fit my 18*8.5 +30 offset rims under the guards. lol I will be going with some semi slick tyres very soon so I'm not worried too much about tyres being scrubed out too much. What have people don't so far. regards dale
