  1. Thanks everyone. I checked out the Queensland raceway website, and there are a number of events for amateur racing. Will be awesome to get out there and see what the beast can do. Need some swaybars though, driving through the twistys near home, the car is like a boat. My old EA fairmont handled better.
  2. Hey everyone, I'm wanting to run the T on a track, just to have some fun, and do something I've never done before. But I have no idea where to go! Does anyone know when and where I can drive my street XR6t on a track? And also, what license do I need to do this? Any help would be great!
  3. No... pretty sure the GE's don't have a woodgrain option. Thank god!
  4. Yeah I was thinking that. I haven't checked yet, but I might cut a bump or two on the stops and see how that goes...
  5. Yeah have heard similar things with AAMI. They give good quotes to get you insured with them, but then its all downhill from there... Always counts to get an insurer where you can choose your own repairer. Hate those 'repair centres'. They're a load of rubbish.
  6. Ah sweet Good to get the 'all clear' I'll try and take some better all around pics soon. Thanks for the help guys
  7. Here's another pic I think this one is a bit misleading because I don't think the ground isn't completely level.
  8. I'll take a few other pics, but to be honest, that's how high the car looks in reality. But the springs are definitely the right part numbers. So I'm not sure what to do. Just looked at the photo again, and the rears look a little weird in the photo.... if that's what people think looks high, then yeah, maybe the photo is deceiving. But the front looks about right.
  9. Yeah... I'll give it a few weeks and see how it settles... But if it doesn't settle much more, I'll definitely be getting them compressed a bit. As long as they've delivered what was requested, I can't ask for much more. The springs coincide with the catalogue... so that makes me feel a little better I guess. I'll take some more pics when I can too so people can see a little better.
  10. Yup, yellow, with King Springs printed on them, with the part number. The springs came in King Springs boxes, so that's not an issue.. But I just assumed when they were delivered that they were the right ones. THen when I put them in I thought "fark... its not much lower at all". That said, I went from 17's to 19's, so that might have something to do with it.
  11. Have been checking out other threads, and it looks like this combo is right. If I'm wrong, please let me know.
  12. Just went and checked in the freezing cold coz I'm freakin out. These are the springs numbers: Front: KFFL-57 Rear: KFRL-68SSL Just checking the King Spring catalogue, and the front part number is the 'STD' height, under the SUPER LOW/ULTRA LOW section of the catalogue. And the rear is the ONLY part number under the SUPER LOW/ULTRA LOW section and is 'STD' too...
  13. Damn... are the tags usually taken off by the installer? I bought them from an ebay shop that seems quite reputable.
  14. Well I paid $380 installed for the bl00dy things! How can I tell whether they're the ones I requested or not? Are the part numbers printed on the springs??
  15. I'll post a better pic when I get a chance... Where on the spring is the part number?
  16. Hey everyone, Firstly, took some pictures with someone elses camera at dusk, and it was sh*t. Couldn't get a decent photo. ANYWAY Got some new 19" rims and springs (SL front, SSL rear)... But it just seems to sit too high... I know these photo isn't any good (rims don't look good either, you can't see the black inserts) but what do people think? Too high? I got them done last Thursday, so it hasn't been a week yet, but will settling really make much of a difference?
  17. Damn.... That sucks.. Really love the force spoilers Dunno about the duckbill spoiler... Its a little too big for my liking. Convenient though... How much $$ should I be expecting to fill out and paint the bonnet holes?
  18. Or even still, does the Force spoiler cover the stock spoiler holes? Would rather one of those than nothing....
  19. Hey I'm looking to throw on a XT boot, to get rid of my XR spoiler... Does anyone have any wrecker recommendations in QLD? Preferably North of Brisbane or Sunshine Coast??? I've got a Red BA, the red that is slightly different from the red on the BAII onwards... Hope I can find one, I don't want to have to spend a fortune modding the existing boot.
  20. You've done similar to what I've done. Except I've thrown in an aftermarket cooler, replaced the centre muffler with piping only, and have a pod filter in the airbox. I can definitely feel a difference from stock. I'd say you should too. I'm thinking of getting a flash tuner and running the 8psi and 10psi stock tunes. If I can hear pinging, then I'll put it back to stock. But if there's no pinging, then I can't see any issues... Have people's engines blown without pinging with the CAPA generic tunes??
  21. Well if that is the case, when there's an episode about two CX7s\CX9s, look for a lowered red XR6t on 19's cruising past. haha
  22. GO TIGERS!!! sorry wrong forum Yeah I really want to chip it... to completely change it from the car I've been driving the past two years. Done a few minor mods, but really want to make the engine sing.
  23. THanks for the warning mate... I've noticed that some of the CAPA boxes on Ebay are from tuners... These should be ok yeah?
  24. Thanks for the advice Senna... I've been really tempted to get a CAPA box off ebay and use a generic tune, but it might be worth going the extra dollars with a proper tune. As for now, I'll enjoy the couple of mods I've made, throw in some sway bars to go with the lowered springs and see how things go. Cheers mate
  25. Probably going to throw on a high flow cat soon, and maybe some better injectors. But that's about it performance wise for the next few months. Would a standard 8psi or 10psi capa tune be safe with my current mods?
