  1. spot on, having no bov doent damage anything, but it does get noisy from the flutter believe me, running a good bov will hopefully dump the pressure so the turbo wont stop spinning as fast from back pressure. personally I dont think it makes much diff iether way.
  2. heres some pics, sory about quality, only had the iphone on me
  3. Hi all, thought id post the pics of my work fitting this ebay intercooler and 3 inch piping, please note I fitted 3 inch piping under the battery tray without that stupid battery changeover mod. I did nip a few mm from the front bar reo and also bent the battery tray corner a few mm but no biggies again , thanks to a certain boat builder in mackay for helping me with these mods. now with a plennum and intercooler, 4 inch dump, shes on boost in no time at all
  4. Hi all, I was looking around at all the plennums avail, value for money seemed to be a bit far fetched, I was already in proceeds of making 3 inch piping for intake so I thought I would give a plennum a crack too. thanks to the help of a certain boat repair shop in mackay, here are some pics of my project.
  5. yep, mal woods clutch is awesome, I got 1 fitted, worth every cent ! u dont realise how much fun a manual is when u can drop the clutch in any gear and get chirps or more !
  6. why didnt I think of that ! yes I see it now, pringles stage 4 kit !!
  7. nothing wrong with ebay coolers, I paid more for mine, but the flow is great, keeps air nice and cool, what an intercooler should do. the neatness of weld doesnt affect performance, just your back pocket.
  8. what I meant, where abouts does the return line vent back in the fuel tank? bottom or top? thanks guys.
  9. you are right, I see now how this will aleviate the vaccum issue, thanks ETM ps: does anyone know if the return line runs into the top of the tank, or does it return to the bottom? if it goes to the bottom, then I guess it will act as a 2nd pickup if there ever was vaccum. just wondering.
  10. the wiring was easy, however the power in the door was tricky, I found 2 power 2 use, the one that goes dead when ignition is off is no good, as after 30 min, the computer senses a drain and unlocks the car for some reason, I didnt notice for around 3 months ! but now perfect. all the wiring is in drivers door for all windows , not sure of the part number, but if you go into your local jaycar and ask for the kit they should have. the trimpot required must be changed as the motors on the windows require more drain than older styles, so the unit keeps thinking the window is up. I think from memory I used a 1.5k ohm trimpot which was the next resistance up from the one they had. PS: this mod is not for everyone and you need to know a little about soldering and electrical before you have your door wires. hope this helps guys
  11. hi there guys, im just enquiring about the surge tank. I cant see how they work, I understand the theory behind them, however theoretically if you have 3 litres of liquid in a sealed tank, then try to suck without a breather then nothing would come out, as the tank is sealed, and the only opening is the pissy fuel line from standard, then theoretically you wouldnt be able to suck much more out, of course you would get a little until vaccumn became too high. am I missing something here, I know you have your return going back to it, but when you are under full noise, at the end of the day, your fuel is still getting delivered by one pipe from the tank only, hence an inline w/o surge should do the same thing ? c and v just dyno mine at 298rw with std pump, and its running lean, so im looking for upgrade, but I need to understand first.
