  1. if its the factory battery just piss it off and put anything decent in there. like a extra heavy duty option in century or a supercharge gold. you probably pay about 180-200 for either one.
  2. you would need the 3sixty.2 to run an active front stage as the 3sixty.1 doesnt have any high or low pass filters
  3. if you take the 2 screws out of the end cap of the 3sixty where the RCA outputs are you will see 4 jumper pins and a blue jumper chip. take the blue jumber chip and put it over the two pins that says remote out. once the 3sixty recognises incoming sound it will turn itself on and create a remote output to turn other amps on. here is the PDF about it.CLICK HERE dont worry about the verifying the voltage, just the bit at the bottom about changing the jumper
  4. nah integrate with the 3sixty. looks better and sounds just as good. QUADIE hit the nail on the head. I do my first install in a FG in a few weeks so will know more about they system then
  5. I dont think even alpine vehicle hub pro does usb
  6. yeah you need the kit from ford to be fitted up for it to even come up on the screen. should cost you about $120 to $140 for the kit from ford with instructions that will take you about half hour to do just make sure you get the amplified kit with the noise suppressor box not the $30 cable from ford
  7. police would have a field day with your bum and some vas if they cought you cutting your seat!!!
  8. we used to install quite a few kenwoods but they discontinued them so we running with the alpines now. they come with 1 set of infrared headphones but you can purchase more. they also have a built in fm modulator so you can have the sound come thru your car stereo system PKG-RSE2 is the alpine number here is the link to alpine's site for it here
  9. I have put dozens of roof mount screens in these. set ya back about $1500 for a good alpine or something similar. you probably wouldnt want anything much cheaper than that or it will be junk
  10. if you dont want a sub then just swap the 5x7's out for some 6x9's. just make sure they are mounted to something very solid not just that tin sheet sh*t ford use. mount a piece of wood behind the carpet that they fix into
  11. man just make a 22litre box for a 10" sub and put it behind your passenger seat and put your amp under the passenger seat. you wont loose too much room that way.
  12. faulty ign switch faulty deck or faulty alternator regulator - I have only seen this once. CD player would work at idle. rev it up it would turn off. they dont like 19 volts lol
  13. the kit come with everything you need except your dvd player. just get one from autobarn or somewhere like that. or use an Ipod video. The kit also comes with the AUX input lead but its better to buy the amplified one from for for about $120 and put that in.
  14. apon first powering the car up you need to turn the key to IGN so it powers the ECU up to accept the codes back and forth from the ICC or it will only say 'power off' or 'code error'
  15. you got everything you need then. just download the latest software from rockfords site and off you go. the only plus with the .2 over the .1 is that you get low and high pass crossovers and time alignment. most people wouldnt bother with the time alignment and good amps will have decent crossovers in them anyhow. I have fitted a few of both and the .1 would be used in probably 80% of systems. if you wanna tweek that little bit more then go the .2 cause you get the crossovers as well.
  16. haha the factory batteries are SH1TY horrible pieces of crap. Just a good aftermarket one will make a good difference to a decent aftermarket system. I would definately go the 3Sixty.1 over getting the rca's run out of the deck. gives you a chance to flaten the factory eq curve and gives you heaps more tuneablilty. all you neeed is a laptop and a bluetooth USB dongle ($25) and your set then. I have the .2 but its a bit overkill as 31 bands of EQ are just a apin in the arse to tune.
  17. You will just have to check and probably email pioneer, kenwood, alpine, etc and ask them for a stand-alone dvd player with full-speed ipod and will output track info out of the video lead. once you have found a model that will do this just get the asl logistics input kit
  18. Exactly what year was the car manufactured?
  19. ASL Logisics for repair or look for replacement ICCs on Ebay or somewhere for a 2nd hand one. just have to get ford to reset the code OR buy the AUX input kit and get an ipod and forget Cd's
  20. there is a product called flowable silicon. it comes in a tube similar to ultra blue and all that. its neutral cure so safe to use on rubbers etc. just peel the rattly dust cap off and use a little of this silicon and stick it back on. will never come loose again.
  21. yeah I heard of them but this the first time I ever soon one in flesh or used one. dont think they were anything special but
  22. thanks guys I work for Autobarn in Mackay. Sorry Mika. Got no measurements. All measured and built on the fly. System went pretty well. Pity most of it was older, 2nd hand gear. Only real problems was the woofers made port noise out of their vented magnets lol. All Jonah Lomu woofers do. And yeah dont know why we didnt put a cap in. He had a big battery and we ran 0 gauge to the back. Cap would have inproved response. Kinda had to rush the last few days of it so we overlooked it I suppose.
  23. if you cut the tissus box up you can get a full size CD/Tuner, DVD player of UHF and still retain the factory accessories socket.
  24. yeah great piece of electronics. only get the .2 if your a real audio buff cause they cross the line to where they are a pain in the arse to tune. too much tunability the .1 are best bang for your buck
  25. Your ipod should be at full volume. If the Aux is then noticably louder than factory CD (with the ipod at full volume) then there are some variable resistors (or gain controls) inside the Ford Aux input box. If these are turned up to high it make the ipod louder than the CD. PLUS these gains st to high are the main contributer to the whine some people get.
