  1. what brand tv/dvd player is it
  2. I would say dead amp or speaker terminal touching earth
  3. if you dont put an amp in then your choice of speakers will be less. if you dont need much volume your factory deck will power aftermarket speakers but nowhere near their limits
  4. you can only run the ipod sound thru the AUX input on the factory icc but you can not control it from the icc. and what is the kenwood EQ you have?
  5. yeah fair enough too. I used one in my car as I wanted to use the 6 disc premo sound and all the steering wheel controls. the steering controls are only a gimic but its hard to think of not having them lol
  6. I've sone about a dozen installs in ba/bf falcons and I only use the rockford fosgate 360. awesome product and by far the best I have used. the systems have sounded as good as using an aftermarket head unit. I know they probably the most expensive option but I wouldnt use anything else. you should be able to get one for about $500. the other ones have no sort of equaliser or anything so you can only rely on the bass/treble on the factory icc
  7. yeah driving it for an hour would be the same
  8. sometimes codes can be cleared if you leave the accessories on for an hour or so. just make sure you dont flatten the battery
  9. oh ok where is the mic now?
  10. no worries. looks great. quite often the bluetooth decks revert to a different volume level when on a call then changes back when the music comes on. just try adjusting the volume during a call to see if its any louder
  11. yeah set the pioneer eq on flat and do everything from the HU. there is nothing to stop you changing the EQ on the pioneer but you probably just want a pure signal going to the factory ICC
  12. no just the fronts will do as stereo is only left and right not front to rear as well. make sure the EQ is on flat and none of the high pass filters are on
  13. the rca's will plug straight in. you will just have to adjust the volume on the pioneer so its about the same as the internal CD in the ICC
  14. unless its a new clarion
  15. its gotta be the wires at the phone plug of another fuse. spend the $4 for a test light and save a lot of dicking around
  16. just use 3mm wire. easiest to get some 3mm triple core to carry constant, accessories and earth from the phone plug to the back of the stereo. if your deck has illumination there is a bulb holder taped to the cigarette lighter plug that has illumination in it. just cut the bulb holder off as it isnt used
  17. that's the best spot. test the wres for power with a test light or multimeter
  18. I think the output voltage of the rca signal to the factory amp is only like 0.4 volt. you could use a line driver to increase this to something useable
  19. there is no rca plug into the factory amp but there is an RCA signal that runs in a coax cable with the harness and goes thru the power plug into the amp. best thing to do is unplug the factory amp and pinch the high level speaker signal from the rear speakers.
  20. DNA facia kit
  21. no not yet. they look pretty sh*t compared to the DNA ones. The DNA are a great piece of gear.
  22. little hard to do that with a 15. why are you using a clarion amp for the rears if the 4ch really makes 135wrms x4? that's more than ample for the speakers you have without the clarion
  23. here are a few I done last year. BF GT 1 BF GT 2 BF GT 3 BF GT 4
  24. you need to use a long flat head screw driver and stick it down between the top of the side bolsters between the bolster and the metal it is clipped into. when it hits something you need to push real hard to release the big metal clip. hard to explain unless it can be shown. once its out you will need a torks bit the right size to remove the center baby bolt. the rest will clip out once the christmas tree clips have been removed
  25. sounds good. not all salespeople are sharks. some are actually interested in giving you decent equipment. all ya need now is a sub. just to fatten everything up and add a little more dynamic-ness to they system
