  1. must have been due to less heatsoak from your IC?
  2. eh, some people care about these little things. maybe he's running twin intercoolers 😄 I'm not being an a$$h0le btw, I get that it's your car and these little things can matter a lot to how you feel about your car All I notice is that I get thrown back into my seat each and every time I plant it, over and over. that's a win naughty naughty
  3. get outta here hahaha surely not! I'm cheering if that's the case, and explains why it's working so well for me ANTZ say they pressure test them for 40psi and I'm not putting that kinda boost into my barra soo.... as long as it cools the air (which it seems to) I'm happy
  4. it's your car so it makes sense. end of the day, it's working well and that's all I care about very surprising! what was ford doing??!! silly buggers 100% agree, for another 300 bucks I could have gotten a PW2
  5. End of the day, I've seen ANTZ on set ups pushing over 450kw and my goal is 320 for now and maaaaybe 400 on e85 in the future so it should be fine for my goals. Plus the cold side is significantly cooler than the hot side so it seems to be working well this is a performance design so it's lighter for power to weight gains! I mean, it's twice the size so I doubt that it's no better... but I wouldn't upgrade from an xr to an f6 cooler, that's for sure.
  6. yeah for another 300 you can buy the process west stage 2. If I went back, I'd do that. Not like I would be missing 300 bucks right now Point is, even the antz one is better than stock so still reckon you would see a difference if you upgrade Consider a tune though because it may make a difference to how you build boost and air temps so if you're already tuned, it could throw things out...
  7. After driving how you want to drive it, grab the hot side and cold side pipes (left of IC is hot, right is cold). if the right side is too hot to hold for long, change it. I reckon you'll notice a difference at 310kw if you upgrade you IC. I'm running 320kw so it'll be about the same power but 16-12 PSI. I can boost a fair bit and that cold side piping never seems too hot to hold but no chance holding onto the hot side for long. ANTZ Stage 2
  8. Yeah my tuner told me to consider pulsar. Says he hasn't had an issue with them. I figure, even if they don't last long as a garrett, they're so cheap I can just replace it if I have any issues. I did oil feed line, oil pump gears and valve springs too for safety. Glad to know I fluked it and did the right thing haha I've got 81000 on the clock and was owned by an old couple from new so with any luck the turbo will last me long enough to save up. Although that damn fuel bill will slow my budget plan down for sure... I get about 15L/100 if my right foot behaves but that can easily become a 30 I still need to do the zf cooler. Just feels like a ticking time bomb Yeah that's not hard to do at all
  9. I should say, by the way, it's got now cold air intake from xr6turbodevelopments, 1000cc injectors and fuel pump, 100cell cat, 3.5 inch catback, and stage 2 I/c from antz If I could go back, I'd save money on the catback and use that cash to port the turbo and get a new actuator. live and you learn
  10. Yeah great, thanks man. I'll check it out and see how it seems to me. Too bad about your turbo. Time for a G series?
  11. Feels great to drive around with over 400hp at the wheels, doesn't it! I've got a 2010 fg xr6 turbo pushing 321kw at 16psi. Drops to 12psi because I don't have any turbo mods. Goes hard now! It does need some more creature comforts. Anyone used a Kayhan v4? Is it a vibe?
