  1. @Blaik you know your replying to a 7 year old thread right?
  2. Good effort on the hat mate looks great to me....... also speaking of crypto that was mentioned a few days ago, I got a letter from the tax man today asking about my profits for crypto in the last financial year they want there slice of the action,, only made about 5k profit though so not to much of a bill to pay
  3. I’m allitle late to the party but I got a full custom system done by Liverpool exhaust 4inch dump into 100cell cat to 3.5 inch from catback and it’s great 5 years on and no rust etc good quality system,, wasn’t to much more then what an Xforce was.. and ironically at the time I was after an xforce system also but for the life of me no one had any in stock
  4. Had a tr6060 making over 1200hp on a turbo maloo, put over 70000klms on it with that power and gave it a good hiding often never had gearbox issues, there a solid box
  5. Hey 11.xx for amount of power your running is great and roughly what I expected, good work!! Thanks for posting back and letting us know how you did! Shame about the skyline dosent sound like a street car to me haha
  6. My advice I’m no pro on falcons but have built a few quick cars in my time but anyways the fg f6 has same timing gear as the other fg falcons and upgrading it At 450-500rwkw is good idea, oil pump deffs needs doing as well as your valve springs.. head studs funny enough is abit of a hit and miss but while engine is out do them... FG f6 is abit of a misconception there almost an identical engine to the regular FGs same timing gear and valve springs only difference is mahle cast pistons with a slightly lower Comp ratio at 450-500rwkw a stock f6 engine piston and rod wise can handle it BUT your starting to push it and the tune is really limited in the way boost can be brought on, put it this way with a basic rod and piston combo boost can be fed in much harder and quicker and youl really notice the difference if funds allow while the engine is out id be upgrading.... running around with 450-500rwkw pushing the car hard (which it sounds like you do) your eventually gonna have problems with a standard engine
  7. That’s what I mean I’d use his shop for a tune, top tuner... but for mechanical work prices are way up there... I won’t go into details but my colleague copped a 2800 invoice to replace 2 fuel pumps and a few other minor maintenance items 044s are cheap pumps
  8. Yea spiro is awesome tuner really good and knows his stuff one of the best in Sydney..... but his not cheap and tbh I feel the prices charged are exorbitant for General mechanical work ( and before anyone has a go Saying you get what you pay for) plenty of other places in Sydney are great and don’t charge you a fortune either... stopped using spiro purely bcoz of his pricing..... I understand overheads but there’s high prices then there’s ridiculous
  9. ahh that was abit to much $700 is what people have been paying when the workshop supplies the fluid (don’t think it’s genuine ZF lifeguard at that price though) the headlights are a 10 minute job really not that hard for a competent mechanic to do.... which place was that? PM me if you don’t wanna publicise who it was...
  10. Nah bro 1000 is to much for that job IMO Unless you mean his gonna do the service and spark plugs for 1k total if that’s the case good price
  11. Yea post back be great to hear how you go!!,, I’m more about the roll racing these days it’s just easier on the driveline not having to worry about the launch staging etc... still enjoy the Christmas tree challenge I just don’t get out there as much
  12. @lykag6 hey mate let us know how you go Monday,, hopefully nothing major! a scan is the best bet as Itl give the code and a competent tech should sort it out quick smart.. fingers crossed something cheap and simple
  13. 12.9 is allitle slow for 300rwkw should be able to dip into mid 12s with that power,, what mods you got for 300rwkw? has the ZF been tuned? either your launch I.E 60 foot needs improvement, your not making a true 300rwkw Or the ZF is the issue could be in the tune or has the car got a heap of Kays on it? ZF could need a freshen up or a service hmmm anyone please correct me if im Wrong but I don’t think 300rwkw is Enough to dip into the 11s in the heavy falcon when my fg f6 was making 350rwkw I was touching the high 11s but I was on street tyres and my 60ft weren’t anything crash hot either so I think you may need allitle more for 11s
  14. Guys..... I know this has been discussed before but wow tonight went to fill up at BP, Campbeltown NSW and 98 fuel was almost 1.80 like wtf..... there must be some form of price gouging going on or something, how is it they charge almost 1.80 but Costco can charge 1.28 for 98 at the moment why such a price difference? tbh owning both a v8 and turbo 6 at home one car mite have to go for a diesel it’s just getting to dear to run both.... can’t justify 200 bucks a week fuel between me and my partner... when fuel was dirt cheap at the start of this covid crap it was fine but now it’s just to much
  15. How good is that barely Broken in mate!! I hope a few these turbo falcons stay mint for a long time to come... these days a new proper performance sedan with a decent amount of poke can’t be bought with less then a six figure outlay... there a dieing breed
  16. Oh yea have deffs gone up in price, like yourself not planning on selling but was glad to see the values have slowly climbed back up they were really starting to get cheap about 24months ago, higher Klm examples were going for high 20s...... mate tbh I’m not really sure would be keen on a meet up but havnt been out on a cruise/meet up in a while... last cruise I went on which was organised through FB (not affiliated with this forum at all) was just ridiculous I’m all for fun but the speeds which were being hit on the streets wow... would rather stay out of prison haha not to mention need my licence for work no license=homeless for me haha
  17. Good on you mate, we in a similar boat my FG f6 sedan I’m slowly slowly rebuilding it the exact way I want it it’s a 2010 and only just touched 86,000klms.... Wouldn’t exactly call the F6s rare but ya really don’t see to many around anymore
  18. Yea they are great just do some research as not all products are created equal some of the better stuff really is self healing if you accidentally put a swirl in the paint , park the car in the sun and the swirl will disappear never believed it my self until I saw it with my own eyes.
  19. Thanks for getting back to me smurf,, me and yourself had a chat at Liverpool krispy kreme a few years back glad to see you still own the car and it’s lookin great!!
  20. What dash is in this beast? Does anyone know?
  21. My F6 is in vixen red (wasn’t my first choice of colour but I bought used and it was in great condition and for the right price so had to sacrifice on colour) and coz it’s a non metallic colour It hides swirls really well but it’s time for an overhaul as well will also get the car ceramic coated it’s great my merc is coated and it makes the finish a lot more durable not the cheapest thing but if keeping long term and the budget allows take a look into it
  22. @masda74 thanks for the link mate was a great read, neat looking car as well the sunburst orange was/is an amazing colour in my humble opinion on the FGs
  23. @masda74 glad to hear your beast is enjoying retirement haha what is she and what mods if any?
  24. Hey guys I’ve done plenty of research on the forum and on the net.. but tbh am allitle overwhelmed with all the different combos and the huge difference in pricing between different engine builders/suppliers.. what’s everyone’s opinion on the best engine combo to handle 700rwkw, what have most people done for around That power? Il be building it up from a standard fg f6 engine not that I think that matters to much anyway. budget isn’t really a big factor as id rather do it right and nothing at this level is ever cheap but on the same hand I’d rather not throw thousands at unnecessary parts
