I bought my first one off ebay, and im pretty sure wasnt genuine, had all the markings and promises from the sellet etc.. In the end it died (dont think it lasted a year) so I got one off Hiro and shes all sweet.. Now my mixtures are too rich and need a retune.. Be careful is all im sayin..

A mate of mine took out the rear lights wrapped the whole thing in a stocking and fitted it back.. LOL did the job but lookes wierd

Do u have an Xcal? Tunes are around $500 to anywhere near $1000, plus the cost of an Xcal if you dont have one already.. Might cost less cause its an n/a but I dunno. No its not a necessity to change the thermostat. If your gonna tune yours I'd recommend doing a few mods, as the difference of a tune in n/a form isnt much, plus, if you just get the tune, then add mods you'd need another tune to get the most out of the mods.

Hey fellas, I know its close to christmas yada yada.. Im currently working for a company installing Foxtel, which is a good job, but im thinking that as I get older I cant be crawling in roof spaces and on roofs for much longer lol.. Im 26 and am wanting a job with more of a future, not too fussed as im willing to give anything a try. I saw a while ago Pit Lane was offering an apprenticeship mechanic position which I would have jumped at, but I was working interstate at the time and it wasnt possible, something like that I would be interested in. I have various qualifications in the telecommunication industry and in the hospitality industry. Have a LR truck license, EWP, First aid and Working at heights certificate off the top of my head. But yea willing to try anything, but would love a job in the automotive industry So if u have a position available, or know of one let me know and ill foward my resume, etc.. Cheers Mike.

that's awsome in a little MPS, I've raced a few MPS's and they are a little rocket for sure.. The F6 doesnt feel quicker cause the boost doesnt hit hard as u said in the MPS its more progressive, but yea one look at your speedo and your in license loosing territory.. Get some mods up it and itll be a whole different car.. Who you gettin to tune it?

Well what an interesting arvo... The ammount of water on the second and third plugs was enough to give me a light drizzle when I got the air compressor into it.. the others were fine.. Swapped out the old coils (140,000kms) and chucked in the new ones and shes all sweet.. Went for a spin and didnt miss a beat..

Yea but I know for a fact I dont have the correct socket extensions, plus id rather have someone there whos done it before too.. Well I got new coils from Coffee Ford Dandenong, $150 for the set. Yesterday I called up Jeff Wignall ford in frankston and they wanted $60 each for them?? I dont understand it, but I dont care lol.. Spoke to the guy there and he reckons the plugs should be fine, but just check them anyway.. Spoke also to a salesman about letting me test drive the new GTP and he just laughed.. He was a young guy and new I just wanted to fang it around lol.. Jumped in an RS focus, they are friggin awsome, looks like its doin 100kms/h just sittin there..

Nah havent taken them out yet.. Ill have a look at em when I do (gotta find out how first, if u have a link that would be awsome) but the cars done 140,000+ kms so I think its time for some new ones... Will the plugs be alright? as they were changed last service and should still be ok for at least one more service..

Well started her up today, and same thing.. Thinking I should just put some new coil packs in as they have never been replaced since I have owned it.. Where do I get new coils from? Will I need new plugs aswell?

Worm I you read the op you would have noticed that I used low pressure and I've done it a few times before without issue.. But thanks, I might have to get the hairdryer out lol

Well that's a bit of a relief... not too confident on removing them, ill let em dry overnight and all day tomo and ill give it a try... Btw the bay is looking shmick now hehhe

Ok so I've put some new bits in an the car was running fine.. Today I decided to give the engine bay a wash. So I went to the local car wash place and firstly degrease the engine, and then a rinse. Now all was done at low pressure and tried to avoid important areas, I've washed the engine a few times before and never had a problem.. After I rinsed it I start the engine and all is good, I let it dry up for a few mins, I jump in and notice the exhaust note changed. It sounds like its got a fully sick Cam. its revving a touch higher and when I go to take off it sorta jerks forward. I drive home and notice its down on power off boost, didnt want to get it on boost as in my head im expecting it to blow up.. It did get worse the closer I got to home. Now obviously water got into somewhere, coil packs? If I let it dry will it be ok, or are they rooted? Cheers Mike.

I removed my centre muff and was told I needed a retune? I dunno but I'd get it checked out on a dyno..
