A mate just bought a new Hyundai Tuscon and it has that smart lock thingy.. He has to press a button to unlock the car, then push a button to start the thing. We arrived at our destination and we just walk away from the car and once it senses your a few meters away it auto locks itself. Pretty cool.. Was so funny trying it out, cause he had just bought it, and the idea of just walking away from the thing at a shopping centre without locking it was pretty weird..

Love it mate.. I have all Alpine amps and subs, quality gear.. I've run my system off an alpine line level converter (LLC) an that sounded sh*t, then bought an Audiocontrol LC6 and that was better, but it lacked the bass that the setup had in the old car.. So I eventually ditched it all and ended up with a headunit. Glad to see your happy..

I think the size we use is 27mm for the front and 22mm for the rear, but make sure.. You can also get adjustable ones, but I've never used them so can't comment, bit more expensive I think too, but seriously how often are you gonna adjust them?

One of the pistons (not sure if 'sliders' are the same thing) might have become stuck, pretty rare IMO but possible.. Also maybe get someone to check all the bolts etc are right..

Recently doing a bit of looking around myself, not for the same reason as yours, but a lot of wheel repair places I found online claim that there work is 'as new' once finished. For example, http://www.wheelfixit.com.au/

If your car is lowered, I feel sorry for your cold side pipes on driveways, dips in the road etc... You can get decent direct replacement coolers for the amount you have spent, an F6 cooler, Monza, Capa, possibly even a second hand PW stage 1 or plazmaman.. All a lot easier and can handle 300rwkw's Good onya for having a crack though..

Yeah what JETSNOT said, huge difference.. The car fells a lot sharper and less of a heavy boat.. I got mine off a forum member for $200 both front and rear..

They are 17x7.5... 245 I was hoping for.. so would a 45 profile keep the diameter the same as the current 19's

Yea unless that other guy wants to swap I think I'm just gonna buy a few cans and give em a spray, just to keep the costs down.. So, clean em, sand em and paint em? Found the centre caps on ebay.. $120 from the wheel king and can pick them up.. Decent amount of coin for 4 plastic caps, but can't find them anywhere else...

HAHa nah mate no Chaps.. That blue T in the pic looks hot I reckon and with my car being purple I think it would look really good too.. I need new tyres anyway, and I could prob get these with tyres for almost the same price.. Plus ill still have the 19's or could maybe sell them, who knows..

Ok so just picked up some 17" ceptors/steel wheels.. Feel like a bit of a change and I like the look of the T in the other thread with these wheels.. Now, I currently have 19's and I don't want my ride height to change. The tyres on them are 245/35's. What I want to know is what profile in a 17" tyre would best match it? Also whats the widest you could fit on a 17" rim? Also, anyone know a good place to get them painted? They are black, but I want them silver? Prob just need the face of them painted, maybe could do it myself, but they might need sandblasting to get the black off? The wreckers I bought them off didn't have centre caps and said they never came out with them, but I've seen them.. Where do I get them? Cheers Mike.

Agree. Get a GOOD service done and if by a site sponsor (people who know what they are doing) chuck it on a dyno to see whats join on. It will cancel out a lot of things by doing a service, change the coils as they are cheap.. Valve springs are about $800-$1000 fitted, and then if that's not your problem you'd be spewin..
