  1. Id say it is tune related more so than anything mechanical, as you've sussed out most things that it could be.. Maybe its leaning out? does it happen with a full tank of fuel? My walbro when near 1/2 a tank would surge, drop power as if traction control kicked it, ran rough for a while too.. Who fitted it? some places don't know how to fit these properly and with the right hoses too..
  2. A long time ago my BA, when slowing down to a set of lights, the revs would drop and sometimes stall.. Is yours tuned? cause it hap end to me not long after it got tuned, but it sort of went away by itself, changed tuners and never had the problem again.. When I was askin what was wrong I was told it could have been the TPS(throttle position sensor), dirty throttle body, can't remember what else though..
  3. Could it be pinging? that brrrrrr sound doesn't sound good mate.. I wouldn't be giving it any till I got it on a dyno and looked at.. Esp when it isn't happening with the std tune is flashed in, means the 11psi tune isn't right.. Are your spark plugs gapped to .8mm? Generic tunees aren't any good as all cars are different and react different to the same mods done... basically your mods on my car would require a different tune to run right.. Xcal 1's as the others have said are worthless now, you could buy a xcal 3 for around $700 and get your ecu tuned, or VCM or Sniper to get the ecu tuned, not sure how much that costs though..

    407Rwkw

Love the car mate, the only thing I'd do is de badge the 'xr6 turbo' from everywhere.. would look heaps cleaner, and surprise a lot of ppl if they tried to race ya..
  5. Love the look mate.. As others have said just needs a turbo, with the money your gonna spend on the next round of mods, you could get a Turbo motor put in.. what is the expected power outcome after the next round of mods? Should really boogie for an n/a
  6. I don't think there is a definite answer mate.. but most ppl put in a 12psi who want to run 300+rwkw, but I suppose a 8 would be fine?... How much boost/power do you want to run should determine what actuator you get.. I think std actuator is 3psi?
  7. FMD, that a current affair report vid is fun hardcore
  8. How much would you charge to do it for someone?
  9. Happend to me when it got tested...
  10. Until we know what's actually wrong with the engine, blaming anything and getting fired up is pointless.. From what I've read in the past about Atomic products they are the best in the bizz, I bet its something simple and all parties will go home happy.. A month with christmas in between isn't a long time, sh*t I bet Brad has a life other than work....
  11. For a T with all the things we know about them, I'd take it to a forum sponsor/ performance car based workshop (someone who knows these cars in and out) to get it checked out possibly chuck it on a dyno and see how it performs... I doubt an RACV bloke is gonna check the bearing free play or compression test the engine.. Plus my mum just had one done and it cost over $300 and we are members too..
  12. I'd check the afr's if you then need a re-tune should cost much to do anyway.. Dyno checks vary a lot in price...
  13. Maybe keep an eye out on the for sale thread, theres always an intake of some sort in there...
  14. He should do one the sound of his Mirage the douche...
  15. A mate on Facebook tested the e85 from united in Hallam.. Almost 90% In the comments, others say they have seen up to 92%. So it looks like the e85 is pretty good quality from hallam..
  16. Think he was talking about straights, and yes a T would have no chance on a track. FFS people there are 2 DIFFERENT types of cars... 2 door sports car vs a family sedan.. they are both good at what they are supposed to be good at in std form.. whoever has the biggest wallet from then on usually wins the rest..
  17. I saw a white terry yesterday with white rims, lowered, looked friggin awesome!! much more respect if it was a turbo terry but ohh well, I reminded him he should have gotten a turbo..

    Tips

Dunno mate, go to a few zorst shops and see what you like.. id imagine the prices would vary a bit...
  19. Its a bit fiddly but doable, I'd say take as much off as possible just to give yourself more room to work. I fitted it to the std cooler and it was fine, but with my nizpro cooler now, the cooler is slightly off centre cause the hot side pipes won't budge. I could have re-done the hot side pipes to get a better fit, but I cbf and I don't think it would have made much difference..
  20. Give MC2 Automotive a call. They're in Dandenong.... Had my diff bush and a few others done, good price.. I suggest bring in the bushes you want done. I got mine replaced with OEM ones...
