184rwkw stock (K&N, 2nd CAI) After tune 227rwkw..

I only fill up using BP Ultimate... I noticed it too ZAP. If the price of petrol is say, $1.36L for ULP then I always know to add 10c to that ammount cause that's how much the PULP is.. One Tuesday (fill up day) I noticed that it was actually 11c/L extra... But what can ya do... I only have 98ron tunes in my box other than the factory tune, and even if I did have a 95ron tune I doubt I'd use it...

The next thing on my to do list is wog cooler and UBP... and by what I saw with the bumper off... it gonna be a BITCH!!! Anyone wanna help?? Cheers Mike

Ok, well my mate that was gonna install my tranny cooler msg's me today saying that if he doesnt fit the cooler today it'll be at least 2 weeks before he can do it.. So, we go and get all the fitting's, clamps oil lines etc... First of all the screws in these cars are the biggest ball breakers.... All the ones used for the bumper, inside the wheel arch, the ones for the top grill, well bloody all of them.. Most of them I ripped off with a pair of pliers, and broke but I still have enough to get hold everything together(will get more, do Ford stock these??) Secondly the B&M cooler I got is pretty big, so fitting it was a lil bit fiddly, especially the brackets, trial and error till we found a good spot and actually how we were gonna fit it, so the oil lines had a bit of room.. The engine bay is pretty tight so to hook up the oil lines was a bit of a pain.. Lost little oil while fitting the cooler., but where do I top it up anyway?? Havent done any ducting to get more air flow to the cooler but where its mounted it should be alright for now, till I get to it? Im driving it like a girl till I do... hehehe The car is due for a service, like now, so ill get the tranny serviced and oil changed.. If your thinking of doin this, its pretty easy, me and my mate did 50% each of the work so if I say its pretty easy, trust me it is, you just need to know what your doin I guess... Got some pics...

Each car is different.... It varies heaps, I have 227rwkw at 12psi then goes down to around 9psi... TXR666, your next round should include, Valve springs, injectors, and probably a better cooler and high flow cat... that's what I have planned next, oh and im gettin a fuel pump also.. OVA 240? Sounds familiar

When I was younger, me and my cousin caught spiders.. We went into the garage, under rocks and anywhere we thought spiders were. We would get 2 put them in a jar and watch them battle it out till there was one winner. That winner would then have to defend his tittle.. In the end we killed them all hehehe.. About 2 years ago I bought a Bird Eating spider as a pet... It was a female and when spread out it was the size of my hand, which is pretty big (cough, cough) It was awsome watching it rip into a cricket... Now I dont kill them I just leave them alone and I am the go to guy to get rid of them in the house... Just a tip for those big hairy ones, instead of killing them use a hair dryer to push out the house.. that's how they make spiders 'act' in movies.. Mike

As Adam said, the dyno will just show you what your AFR's are... If you get your car on a dyno nothing will change... Im sure Danny tuned it right...

Pretty much how I want mine fitted, with all the air ducts/ slots etc.... I dont know the model number (its in the car, back seat) but its the one the guy recommended as he has the same one in his BA XR8, and said it hasnt missed a beat..

I've got the B&M one. I asked about the one with the fan, and the guy said that the fan operates when the car is stationary and when just creeping, but at say 60km/h or whatever the fan is just blocking the air trying to go through the cooler. Sounded good enough to me so I didnt get it with the fan. I didnt ask but, does the fan blow air through the cooler? Or suck air through the cooler? If it sucked than it'd be better... Mike...

That Vicsupercruze thing is on this weekend... Only sat and sun though... Im goin on Sat but only as a spectator.. This weekend the weather is meant to be fairly hot, high 20's or low 30's..

OK, OK, your almost as bad as my parents hehhe... Nah I hear ya... So what your saying is that the new cooler might be actually worse than the stock one? Yeah you make a good point, but how many people can honestly say that they have measured if the cooler is actually doing 'better' than the stock setup? I searched and read heaps of posts when looking into this and not one had any actual proof ie. measured before and after temps to see whats goin on... 90% have just said 'yeah it works', 'its heaps better'. The way I look at it is, 'you play, you pay' this is just little insurance for the tranny cause one day its gonna go..

Hey Chris, Yeah bought the cooler, I've decided how I want to fit it, bought the fittings and 2m of hose, still need to figure out the brackets, but it shouldnt be too hard... Nah im not fitting it my mate is, I'll be supervising hehhe... Hes fitted a few to different cars, and if its as easy as most say it is, than he should be able to do it no probs... I'm fitting it maybe next week, also along with my Intercooler and UBP, so it should make for a fun day, hope I still have hair left by the end of the day....
