Yeah I hope so... Thanks for the encouragement guys I needed it... the ammount of times I swore at the tools, clamps and numerous other things, but when I took my time it all worked out.. Cant wait till all is fitted... Cheers Mike..

HEHE check out the sig.. its all happening soon.. Then hopefully wont need to go round a corner to go sideways...

The thing I have trouble with is the lag in the turbo.. When I try im almost straight when it comes on boost... In the old car altho not as powerful it was N/A and it was easier.... More practice ey... need to find me a skid pan where im not gonna hit something LOL Was that you fats?? I saw a T nearly rear ending a phantom, had to swerve to miss ya... He was a bit keen to get in the car park Mike...

Not exacly sure the size, but the new clamps I got were sized 56mm-76 or thereabouts. I found out that you might not be able to get the exact same size but aim for that rough guide give or take a few mm and you should be right.. Well as for differences, the flutter now sounds awsome, much higher pitched almost tinny (im not running a BOV) The car seems to reach full boost quicker and seems to pull better, but that might also be because I have the plazmaman hot side piping and a PW UBP... So I cant give a definate answer with just the cooler on.. After my retune im hoping for nearly 300rwkw's... I have yet to put in my injectors, BF dump and 'high flowed' cat... I cant wait, my tranny is gonna hate me for it LOL Good luck with the install mate, all I can say is take your time and get someone to help you its way easier... Cheers Mike

Hanra....Just normal... the PW UBP and the plazman kit came with there own clamps so I used those but 3 of them broke (2 were engine bay clamps) due to them stuffing up and me over tightening one.. So I replaced nearly all the stock clamps with new ones.... Well after a long day, its all over... I took out the whole plazmaman kit and started from scratch cause I wasnt happy with the fit, and now it sweet as. Got all the angles right so it all lined up as it should.. Made sure everything was clamped etc.... PS I totally forgot about the top part of the cooler, to paint it black. Will hit it with a spray can soon... I also took some more pics... enjoy.. One of the pics is of a silicone hose that I had trouble fitting.. When I first did it it had almost folds in it, but now as you can see its as it should be... Cheers Mike

I usually have mine lookin pretty clean when attending cruises, but on friday I didnt bother, cause I knew it was gonna be sh*te weather... Hopfully next time we'll have traction, cause I drive like a girl in the wet... And seeing some of you guys getting it sideways a few times looks bloody awsome... wish I could do that stuff....
-
Yeah its all a means to an end... I found the culprit... it was me LOL, I forgot to clamp a hose... Its all sorted now, but I wanna get some more, better clamps, and I'll fix em all good n tight.... I broke a few from over-tightening....

What a F&*^ed up day.... It all started at 11:am (after work). My plazmaman hot side pipes came in, so I get that and my wog cooler and UBP ready for install... By myself!!!! Ok got the bumper, grill, headlight etc.. off. First the PW UBP, the old one was a bitch to get off, the sensor thing was a bitch to get off, the new UBP was a bitch to put on... But it is a quality product and I eventually followed the instructions and all was good.. At this point my mum calls me and says shes been in a an accident.. Eveyone in the car was fine, so I continue with my unstall Next the cooler. Well, I bought it off another member, he says yea its all there.. Its a 'direct bolt on' so I thought easy enough I'll give it a go.. Well yea as previously mentioned 2 brackets were missing.. Thanks to all for your help too, really did help... Anyway I only installed it using the two brackets that I had.. It was a tight fit and the cooler hoses 'should' hold it in place.. Now missing the top brackets means that the cooler is a bit lower than it should be, so I added some 'extensions' when screwing the brackets that I had, and I think it turned out pretty good.. So that's all done, and I make sure to tighten everything up.. Next is the hot side pipes.. THE OLD ONE IS A PAIN IN THE ARSE TO GET OFF.... If you ever fit one, or have you will know what I mean... The clamp that held the pipe coming off the turbo took me, 1.5hrs and 2 light globes (was dark down there) Then the matter of pulling the thing out as its one piece and a bolt in the worst place clamping it down had to also be removed... Finally get it off, now what I thought 'yea easy part' WRONG... You had to get the angles SPOT on so it would all line up and fit, the right angle silicon joiner could be a bit longer and more of a 'U' shape... It kinda gets crushed going over a chassie rail or something similar.. So its not flowing as well as it could be.. It looks awsome though.. So now all done(10pm ish) I start putting the front end back together, by now I have lost a screw here or there, the horns have a new home on my back seat.. The stupid ford plastic screws, are they only meant to be used once cause they're a bitch to get off also.. And dont seem to want to go back in (broke em LOL) By now (11 pm) I seriously can not be f*^$ed and just want it all over... 11:30pm the car looks just as it should but with some added bling in the front... I start the car let it warm up, cause its been off ALL DAY, everything sounds fine... Had a mighty big smile on my face and feeling very proud of myself ( the old man only helped a lil bit) Once its warm, I take it for a spin... I slowly accelerate, it pulls pretty good... I give it a bit more, keeping an eye on my boost gauge, all is good and thank me with a sweet sounding FLUTTER, much better than the old flutter I got.. But I dunno if its the cooler weather or the 'upgrades'.. I decide to see if it will overboost I push the accelerator, boost starts rising, and rising... I give the throttle a lil punch and POP!! My first thought 'sh*t cooler/some pipe' so I test it out. Hits 2000rpm and goes as hrd as an N/A or worse.. Nothing but air... By this time 11:45 I can not be F&c*ed.. I have a quick look under the bonnet and cooler pipes I could see but nothing looks 'popped off'. So tomorrow oh hang on its 12:20, so LATER im gonna have to pull the whole car apart to fix this bloody hose.. Oh and the suposed cracked/split pipe that HP-F said I had (the reason I got the hot side pipes) after the new gear went on the same noise, EXACTLY the same.. Maybe my dodgey work, I dun think so... Calling them first thing monday morn... Couldnt really see much wrong with the stock one, but not that I looked that hard... Enuf of my rant... Time for dinner... sorry fot the long post, Mike...

hmmm I dont have anything with me at home and im home alone so cant drive anywhere...
-
GREAT im missing the two 'L' shaped brackets, but I have the other two..... I may have to FAB something up.... Do you reckon that the 2 brackets that I have is enough to hold the cooler in place??
-
Be good if I showed the pic ey....
-
All I need to know is, do I use the factory mounting brackets at all....?? I dont have any fitting instructions as I bought second hand... I also only got 2 brackets with the cooler and 2 screws, am I suposed to have more?? As in I can only screw it to the car, in two places... In this pic (not of my car) there are 4 places circled in red to show where the mounting points are, therfore 4 brackets/mounting points and screws needed correct?? If so im stuffed... Cheers Mike

Google was my friend... its 0.8bar for 12psi.. So if it goes up around 1 bar I should take it easy ey...
-
OK my guages are in bar... Can anyone tell me what 11-12 is in bar?? I've worked it out before but I've forgotten the whatchamacallits
-
Sweet... Just the news I wanted to hear.. Everyman and his T is going out on the HWY tonight (for those of you playing in Melb).. but I think I'll stay away to avoid the temptation... Or I might just take it easy....
-
I have got those things meantioned in the title and am keen to fit it... I currently have a HP-F custom tune... Will those mods stuff up my tune and blow my engine if not tuned to run it?? The hot side piping needs to go on cause the my stock one has a split in it, so I wanna just chuck it all on while everything is apart, otherwise I'll have to do it again in a week or two, when it goes in for a tune... I dont want to go to HP-F for a retune cause I wanna try out another tuner, but hes busy atm... Was told if the zorst is stock(im guessing the reason being its a restriction) than it should be alright, but just after some more opinions... Cheers Mike...

slightly off topic...Danny did you get my pm?

16!!! Bloody hell, I thought I had big feet at 13-14.....

My friend is on his 3rd gearbox, so I'd listen and feel anything to do with the gearbox also..

Picture this 5 young people in a car going out for a cruise, they may/probably do stupid things... Now the same 5 people but with the new rules... If they can only have 1 other person in the car that means that the same 5 people in 1 car now turns into 5 people in 3 cars.. Now if me and my mates are in our own cars goin out, that's just askin for a street race.. My point is, they are gonna do stupid things no matter what, but instead of one car hitting something there might just end up being more involved... My 2c

Seen that on a cruise or 2... LOL that flutter is a dead giveaway.... Nice work, Mysterious T man
