  1. In Melb if you dont have your plates visible you loose 3 points, of the 5 you are allocated when you get on your P's.. Loose more than 5 and you loose your license... Thank god im off them with all these new laws.. PFFttt passenger restrictions, means instead of 5 guys in one car its now 5 guys in 3 cars.. What yould you do? See whos cars faster??

  6. I can vouch for its crappy performance. I have a 'wog' cooler which is the same as a monster cooler. I had my car dynoed on a 35deg + day.. First run was around 240rwkw, second was around 230rwkw third was 213rwkw.. As I said it was a bloody hot day, the week when Melb had the heat wave, and the car was fairly warm to begin with.. The dyno operator was like "it doesnt like the heat"... I'll try and post the dyno sheet..
  7. You can buy off the shelf cams for the T, I think crow does a few stups and atomic do them too.. So no need to buy blanks and get them ground.. Maybe for a custom grind yes.. I think $2000 bought, fitted and tuned is about right..

    Average price I would guess around $600-$700 The autos all differ, depends on the tuner, how you treat it, servicing it and if you got a dodgy one.. I know of a Orange T running 320+rwkw on a stock 4 spd.. Not even a trans cooler with no problems... Then you read about someone with 250rwkw and the auto lets go..

  13. I remember reading a post on cams, and basically unless your aim is 400rwkw+ you wont need em.. Sure they'll give you an increase but money better spent elsewhere

    Just got home... Soft LOL Nah just kidding... I dunno about that one but I seen a VX/VT commodore, dunno if its a v8 or whatever but it is also charged or boosted.. In a pack we were doin like 80 clicks and it just took off, the arse of it dumps and it haulls.. I just got home now... Had a run with a VT SS 5.7 I think... BYE BYE holden.. He stalled up and I just flat footed it lol.. Good fun, till it started raining...

Ok so you have a car with huge power from a big single turbo, down the strip it would haul ass but as a daily driver (I think that's Pats intention for his project) it would be a pig untill it makes boost which would he higher in the rev range.. If you had twins it would spool up faster and be more responsive down low.. It would be a better car to drive.. But wouldnt be the quickest down the strip... It all depends what you want the car for...

    Me and my mate have around the same power (240rwkw ish) He has a LS1 VZ. When we race, I beat him outta the hole and keep pulling away... So if I can beat him with about the same power that how the hell can a 250rwkw SS beat a 300rwkw T?? Mind you we dont race as if we are at Calder, my 'private road' aint that long, but its pretty obvious he cant reel me in, so I dont think anything would change if we raced 1/4 mile.. If I beat him my mph would be better yes?
