I ended up buying my self some Bendix Ultimates AGAIN, as all the places I went to they were filled with drop kicks.. The guy at Brakes Plus wanted me to buy 'Brakes Plus' brand pads.. He said they were 30% better than Bendix.. Like I'd trust him, sitting behind a computer reading from a screen.. He seemed asif he had no clue.. Ended up going to HiTeck brakes in Moorabbin. The Bendix were $120 which imo are a good price considering Autobarn wanted $175... Good place if you know what you want and dont have too many questions...

Im also keen to do this... I know someone on here has done it, cost around the $200+ mark.. It looked really good... This was in Melb though so I dunno about Syndey..

Oh well that sux.. Only have one key, the guy i bought it off lost the spare..

So im guessing they are interchangeable??

72K for a Hilux... Is the chassis gold plated or something? Its a bloody Hilux.. I'll have a T Terry and still have change for mods...

While the turbo is out you might aswell get the wastegate ported too... Ohh and a larger flap...

My sis has a corolla sportivo, awsome little car, hit 6000rpm and it takes off like its got a turbo and revs to 8000rpm.. She gets around 600-700kms a tank... It may be a bit too exxy though.. Just get a normal corolla, if its only for a year than dont stress too much about it..

I'd suggest anything toyota... Cheap to run, and they dont stop running...

Saw a DBOSS lookalike in Moorabbin (spelling) on Warrigal rd yesterday, parked at a car detailing place.. Looked pretty sweet. Custom plates were VIPCAR I think... Was on my way to HiTeck brakes... Bought some Bendix Ultimate pads for $120, which is damn cheap compared to Autobarn's $175..

My Autogauges are pretty spot on depite the boost being in bar and not psi, have to figure it out hehe.. The volt guage is awsome when jump startin... LOL

I was only saying that they're bulk power is in the low rev range, up top they are cops...

Hey Danny, last time wasnt it the pipe in front of the turbo that was leakin.. So you reckon its the exhaust aswell?? What are the chances of you having a look over the weekend if your free??

Injectors... theres something new... I cant pinpoint when the problem started as to know if the noise was before or after the dekkas went in... hmm, but by your sig im guessing you have standard injectors and you also get the noise?? I hop etm is right... BTW the car was serviced by a site sponsor, so they should know what needs to be done... so I dont know.. Anyother ideas??

Good news...I hope so, but... It made the sound before and after a service.. Arent the bolts meant to be tightened at each service??

Supercharged commies make there power low in the rev range.. that's what the supercharger is for... They have fark all top end.. My mate has a super VT, hes done a few bits and pieces, boosted, zorst tuned etc... makes about 160 rwkw and has 500nm of torque.. Which is good.. He gets a good takeoff but his weight and lack of top-end makes me the winner..

After reading the thread on MRDOSE's turbo going I thought I'd ask a question to diagnose a noise I can hear, and possibly save my turbo if its the problem.. When my car is cold, I dont drive it hard by anymeans, but as the revs rise a bit, I hear a ticking sound, it gets more consistant as revs rise and louder also.. It goes away when the engins warm.. Im guessing when the engine is warm the oil has luubed evrything and the sounds gone.. I cant think of anything else that may cause this noise apart from the turbo not gettin any oil in the morning.. Is this normal and im making a big deal about it? The rubber grommit in the firewall has almost dissapeared with amp wiring and boost hoses goin through it, thus increasing engine to cabin noise, so maybe I just 'hear' it better than most Maybe a blockage and the oil doesnt reach the turbo as quick, untill its hot and thinner? Just throwing some ideas around, and appreciate any thoughts.. The car still goes as hard, despite my bloddy actuator... Cheers Mike...
