  1. For me it was never really about price. Yes I've heard stories they are unreliable. And other stories that its now stable. But I really didn't want to run into stability issues frequently. For me the main goal was always just cleaner sound and android auto
  2. Thank you. Just need to get my hands on some dual zone black buttons now
  3. What colours/ wire do they connect to in the fg though for the steering wheel?
  4. looking at the dimensions the ilx007 is 178×100×75 Ilxw650e is 178x100x60 so should be identical fitments wise with more room at the rear
  5. Definetly just waiting for mk2 facia and alpine to arrive then see how things go
  6. Mock up of what I'm hoping for. Will dremel the tissue box so its a top cover and side cover only to tidy things up
  7. @rosey. What have you done with the standard icc screen mounting wise. Does the hvac still work with the screen out or have you tucked it away somewhere? I am going to be tackling the 650e install this week or next so will need to wire the head unit and hopefully steering wheel controls too. Any chance you have a resource for the wiring colours from the stock harness to alpine at all?
  8. Unfortunetly stingray have no stock so may have to figure out a custom facia work around unfortunetly
  9. Had a quick read of the ford forums technical post and its still over my head lol. From what I understand it may be possible to send the icc info to a 2nd monitor and do away with the icc screen. If that's the case it would be cool to tap into the icc and send the display to a av in on the alipne doing away with the need to remount the original icc screen where the tissue box goes for an ultra clean look. I don't mind switching to av1 for the air-conditioning display just hoping something like that would be possible
  10. This post has definetly inspired me to push forward with my plans. Ilx650e up top using a mk2 facia. And relocate the icc screen down bottom. Anyone here know how hard it would be to integrate the steering wheel controls?
