  1. can you upload any found files?
  2. SO what did you get changed in the back section? Cost and sound?
  3. That looks half decent. Anyone used one similar?
  4. Let us know how you go as I am interested in just changing centre and other mufflers for some sound as I heard the stock system is half decent
  5. I am sure people like Maserati and Jag who use the same tranny have worked out a way around this problem. Hate to think you would get that noise after paying 200+k for a car.
  6. Thanks for the info, thought it was a serious problem with the tranny.
  7. So when stopping, as senna said I should be going handbrake. foot off brake to load the handbrake and then go into P? This seems backward for such an advanced transmission when other autoboxes dont need this.
  8. Yes handbrake goes up after I put it into P, and then out of P into R first then the handbrake off when taking off. I have done the above on my other auto cars without any issues
  9. I have noticed in the last few weeks the ZF 6 speed in my G6ET makes a big 'thud' when going into reverse. It doesn't happen when the cars cold, more once it warmed up. If the car is parked on an angled driveway the 'thud' is a lot worse. I have found that if I pump the brake a few times before going into reverse I can stop the thud from occurring most times. Seems like when normally pushing the brake before going into reverse the brakes aint grabbing enough so torque converter load is still on the transmission. Anyone else have this problem?
  10. This isent going to give you the turbo sucking sound is it? I miss the pod filter GT30 intake sound of my old car
  11. Don't like em sly. They wouldn't even look good on 300C
  12. 245 wides aint gonna cut it, u need 275 rears with decent rubber. I have 255 kumho ku31's and they grip pretty well, but do have create alot of road noise at low speed
  13. I have noticed a slight oil mark in my garage also, only a few drops though in the 5 months I have had the car. How bad is the leak meant to be? Will have to check it properly.
  14. What other exhausts options are there for the FG? I am after a bit of sound for my G6ET as its 2 damn quiet. Looking at Herrod cat back, but what other options are there?
  15. Exhaust looks good. Just found out that a supplier we use alot's dad is a good mate of Herrod himself, so gotta see if theres any mates rates available on the exhaust

    New G6E

Every time motor tests out a non-standard car they always get worse numbers than the stock. I can understand the 0-100 time might be on par with the stocker because of traction problems, but the 139 extra kw's its got should get it a better 1/4 time
  17. My old car with the rims I have on my new G6ET! LOL What camera are you using tang?
  18. used 4gig and 160gig classic without any problems
  19. Thanks for the replies. Worm I need to get it fixed as its like driving around with a big dent in a panel
  20. 5 seconds of not looking where I was going while turning onto Nepean Highway and running over a curb has caused my nice new 20inch back rim a massive scratch over 85% of the outer lip. Where in Melbourne is a good place to try and get it fixed? Worse case I will replace the rim, you cant really see the scratch unless you look for it, but in my mind I know its scratched so need to get it fixed.
  21. Latest issue of Motor magazine has 400kw Herrod G6ET with a k&N sticker on the filter box. Assume they are using a K&N replacement or pod in the stock box
  22. Let me know next time u go!! GEt some slicks first though
  23. So can u explain in ehrish how u got it to work?
  24. How long you been working with Fibreglass? I use alot of fibreglass ductwork and tanks with my work ie 4.5m diameter x 12m tall plus upto 2m size ductwork. I dont hae the time at the moment to model a gauge holder in soildworks and then get a mould made, but if you can remade the mould I can get them mass produced easily. Let me know
