I have pedders lowered springs. With 5 people and a boot bull of stuff my rear 255 20's sit about 1mm from the guards. Rears have never rubbed though. I have had the 2 front tyres wear on the inside after 20,000km and now the rear left inside is also bald, and its a real bitch to get the car to accelerate hard with traction control on as it just bogs down and wont go anywhere.

Just got my car serviced at Horse Power Factory and was looking at finally getting my car modded, and came across this thread. I think that 1000nm of torque is actually tractive effort. With 1000nm of torque the ZF would blow into pieces. Even Merc's like the SL65 AMG have to limit the torque output to 1000nm to keep the transmissions alive.

If you accelerate hard and then come off the throttle half way through the rev range, you get a massive thud from the back which sounds like the diff.

I got black 20's on my ego g6et with lowered pedders springs with 10.5 inch wide rears. Dont go bigger than 265 at the back as recently when I had 5 people in the car and a boot full of luggage on a trip to Sydney the rear tyres were 1-2mm from rubbing on the guards. Top portion of tyre was inside the guard upto the lip. If I had gone 275 on the rears like I planned to they would have rubbed for sure. Haven t got any updated pics with me

Don't know why ford didn't offer the different leather colour seat option on the G6ET. Would have got mine in Red also.

I heard a story, not sure if fact or myth, about someone being fined by a cop estimating their speed. They took the cop to court and while the cop was being questioned by the drivers lawyer, the lawyer slowly threw a tennis ball to the cop and asked him to catch it. When the cop caught it, the lawyer asked him to 'estimate' the speed of the tennis ball before he caught it. The cop had no answer and the case was thrown out.

There was another ones out years ago where you could switch between all different type of cars engine notes, ferrari, lambo, v8, v10, v12, supercharger noise, turbo noise, worked 4 cyclider etc. Interested to see a video of someone on here that has bough one and tried it as most times it never sounds as good as the add.

Supercharged V8 but only a few kw more than the current model??? If Walkinshaw can strap a blower to the 6.0L and make 360+kw why can ford offer something more decent?

I have done a few stints in Canberra and being staying in Belconnen. Why does everything close at 6pm Monday - Thursday???? Fridays I am back on a plane home and weekends, no chance I will be staying in Canberra. Is Northbourne Avenue close enough to the main city where there are actually things to do after 6pm>?? -

I had to replace 2 of the 20's on the front of mine after 17,000 km. Went for wheel alignment day before my 4000km road trip and saw that the insides were worn out badly. Lowered suspension and negative front camber killed the fronts after 17,000 km

Theres bugger all note in the stock system. When you see the size of the 2 mufflers you will realize why!!

I got my center muffler removed and replaced with a piece of 3inch pipe. The center muffler is HUGE!!! Car actually has a exhaust note now. There is a bit of a hollow sound around 2000rpm but under full load it sounds real raspy and angry. No drone in 6th when cruising. Anyone else done this mod yet?
