Nice. How much did they charge you for window tint? Usually its 3-4 times the price you can get it done yourself for.

I was looking at the Evo X and new STI but for what you pay the interior is the same as the 20k base models. Japs need to imporve their interiors on these cars

Just got quoted an even better drive away price. $48,225 and went for a test drive in the G6E turbo today. Heapes of torque and great auto box, even through I aint a great fan of autos. Sorting the trade in my VE SS monday and then should have the car early the following week!

Damn that's less than the rrp for the car minus all the extras. Just got a quote over the phone for G6E Turbo without any options and it was 59K drive away in Victoria

I went to Berwick ford 2 weeks ago to test drive a xr6 turbo or g6e Turbo and they didnt even have a demo there

Hows the price of the new xr6 turbo with the luxury pack compared to the G6E turbo? Is the leather option in the xr6 the same as the soft leather in the G6E?

So say you go out and get a APS stage 2 kit for the phoon. Do you chrage that to a card or pay it yourself and claim it back?

You get $8oo a week in car expenses and you drive a Typhoon, I love my ford's hence why I own a Ba & BF but jeez if I was getting $$$ like that I'd be straight into a CLK 55 Amg or similar. ← that's nearly a 40K car allowance / year. Doesent seem right unless he is some high paid manager / director

So Jules, do you find it works well for you? I have a HP on mine. I pay ~$800pcm plus all ongoing costs. The last 12 months my car cost me $21K to run ( including my mods ). I get a $15K car allowance plus money back from the tax man each year so my car at most costs me personally about $1000 per a year. Does novating give you a better result than that??? ← How is a hire purchase exactly different to a novated lease?

Ford is one of the first factory turbo car manufacturers to use such a large turbo on a car out of the factory. Its even bigger than the GT3040 unit I upgraded to on my skyline which gives 320rwkw at 1.4 bar boost Not many factory cars blow the engine with the stock turbo.

Stock turbos on a GTR wont cause the internals any problems as they are only good for around 250rwkw.

Sorry to dig up old post but, what typhoon did you get for $320/week? And was it new or second hand?

In a skyline when you put a new exhaust on and stock boost raises the ecu will compensate and run the very rich a/f ratios they run in stock form. It wont go into limp mode or anything like that. To get the best performance you still need to get a full aftermarket ecu as the stock gtr ecu's cant be modified.

So upto what value of a car will 15K allowance get you? upto 70k value over a 5 year lease?

I have around 15k as allowance and will prob do around 15-20K of travel. I am new to car allowances, how does 15k equate to price of car you can purchase? I saw a nice Yellow BAII F6 of $48,000 for sale I really like. I have extra $$ I can put in if necassary, as I got a big payout from leaving current job.
