All this testing they are doing with your car, how are the stock internals gonna be holding up with those cnstant dyno runs, and when you get the car back on the road for long term life of your engine?

Any lower and once 1-2 people in the car you are gonna start to scrape the front on driveways and carparks gutters.

The springs are Pedders. I was sceptical at first iff their springs would lower the car enough but it sits real nice, especially with 2 people in the car the tyres are mm away from the guards. Turning at full lock the front rub slightly. The front just clears the curbes in carparks by mm's. If I got 8.5 inch rears, the rims would have sat 2 much in the guards.

Offset is 8.5 front 9.5 rear with Kumho Ku31 235 fronts and 255 rears. Was going to put 275's on the rear but luckly I didnt as they would have rubbed once lowered. Grips alot better thank with the stockers but still wants to go sideways in 1st and 2nd if you give it abit of stick. SMS if you get your car today and I will come over and show you

I dont think putting fish oil on the brake disc is a good idea. Might stop it rusting but will also effect braking performance.

Took some pics with the new rims and lowered springs. Car is not clean and was a bit glary and took the pics with a Nokia N96 so not the best photos. Gotta get some better ones next weekend

Compressing your stock springs is a bad bad idea. Heating, compressing and then cooling the springs changes the spring rates they were designed for to an unknown. The springs start to sag after a while and causes all sorts of problem. I had some compressed springs in a TE Cortina with 351 many years ago and would never go down that path again.

Do kmac make you new springs to suit or just compress your stock springs? If new springs are they progressive rate springs or just shorter springs? Progressive rate springs are the same height as the stock springs.

Sunshine is too far to go as I live and work near the dande area. I work right near HPF but I dont think they have done any development work as yet on the FG

Family Guy actually!!! Speed camera operators that aint cops have no juristriction to tell you to go anything, dont need a law degree to know this!!

Is it me or are the vic tuners behind the rest of the states when it comes to tuning the FG. I am looking to get my G6ET done soon but havent seen much results posted on the forum for vic tuner.

Public road they cant tell you to move your car nor can a cop unless the side of the road is blocked due to road work or similiar. If I were you I would park infront of him everytime he was there, so he would have to move to another spot away from the bottom of a hill those thieving scum bags!!

Just rang pedders and its about $694 supplied/fitted with wheel alignment. OVAR8D post a side profile pic of the car after it has setteled so we can see how low it really is

Has anyone lowered their G yet? I got some new 20inch black rims put on the car a few weeks ago and it really needs to be lowered to pimp it out more. I know pedders have lowered springs out for the FG, but I dont wont to loose the ride quality too much from stock as I have had extremely lowered cars in the past and am over feeling every little bump in the road. I will post some pics of the car with the new rims soon

Motorworld was done yearssssssssssssssss ago. Clarksons and the rest of them all hate all the American built cars so it wouldnt go down 2 well in America anyway.

With all the other shows the Hammond, Clarkson and May do in the UK besides Top Gear I doubt they would ever come to Australia and test some local cars. America will also have their own version soon
