You won't get them with tyres for $1000, the rims alone are $850. No idea about the weight Geo but given they're only copies (cheaper, heavier alloy ?) and they're an inch bigger they'd have to be heavier than the stockies.

Yeah I'm happy with 18s. Wados, I know of the shop/sponsor on the other forum, and yeah its the same guy. My tyres still have a few months in them so I'm tempted to hang out and see what sort of rims come with the new orion range

Yeah they're good for the money, playing divx video is cool too. They're touch screen so finger or stylus or what ever will work. I mainly use my finger but if you're typing out an address on the touch screen keyboard its more accurate to use the stylus (especially if its in the car and you're reaching out to do it) It has a headphone jack so you just plug that into your aux in. apparently there are some models with fm transmitters built in, mine doesnt have it. As for bluetooth, supposedly the GPS receiver in it is bluetooth but I dunno how you'd do anything with it. It runs off WinCE so you can run any of those apps on it as well with a little bit of fiddling. I think only genuine tomtoms come with tomtom software and maps but if you're vaguely cluey and have a look around on the net you can find all sorts of software to put on them that's for this unit anyway, I'm guessing the others around are similiar.

Yeah they were the ones I was getting. They've gotten cheap now in shops though (a few places have them for $200 odd with the post xmas sales) so not really worth doing the group buys any more

Anyone got a set of these cobra copy rims from EBAY ? I'm thinking of getting a set with the inside of the rim and spokes painted black (instead of all silver) I'm still tossing up between this and the usual black spoke with chrome/polished lip combo. I did this quick photoshop which doesn't look too bad but I'd be keen to see if anyone has any real pics (particularly HgAg ) Cheers

The same thing happened to me today, I took off from an intersection and booted it expecting it to change gears but I must have knocked it into first without realising. As the revs hit 6000 I manually changed to 2nd and there was a backfire sounding pop noise. A few minutes later and I have no boost at all (maybe half a PSI on the boost gauge). I've checked all the pipes and they're on tight so I'm guessing its either the wastegate or maybe a collapsed cat like you've had. The cat is only 6 months old though so I'll be spewing if it's that. Anyone got any other suggestions ?

No it does it at different temperatures, I usually run around half way on the temp gauge and it does it there too but I first notice it on one stretch of road from home where I end up cruising along.
-
Nope, it only does it (the fluttering) when rolling along at low revs. Con mentioned something about it happening when it goes into lean cruise mode - which is exactly when it does it. It actually does it at the same spots on the way to work every day! I take off from the lights then cruise along for a bit then come to a slight grade and go to accelerate and then it starts fluttering (feels very similar to what it did when I first had the edit and didnt gap the plugs and it was blowing the spark out) The stalling and some of the idle roughness was eliminated by raising the idle but he said the rest of the missing at idle is just what you get form gapped plugs.

Hey guys, just an update for those who may have similar problems, I took it into CV and apparently I have a leak around the turbo. I thought the bonus noises were part of the edit but apparently not! $400 to fix which is a bit of a bugger though!

Any update on this guys ? Mine starting doing this EXACT same thing this arvo out of the blue. It first did it about 2 hours ago and I raced down to the garage thinking it was the alarm, but quickly remembered I don't have one! Pressing the remote stopped it, unless it was a coincidence. I got in and started the car then turned it off and it was quiet until just a few minutes ago when it started up again. It's since gone off 3 times in the last 15 minutes but is now quiet. I'll yank the fuse if it does it again but I'd be keen to hear if anyone else has a solution. I doubt its the remote as each time it's done it the car has been out of remote range.

Does anyone know anything about these coils on ebay ? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-BA-IGNITION-CO...1QQcmdZViewItem I think I've got a crook coil but I figure for that price I might just replace the whole lot.
-
Yeah I thought it was more likely coils given the symptoms. Mine is a Mk1, just - June 04 with 60k on the clock. I thought too that it may have gotten worse after the edit because the coils were moved around while changing the plugs.

Hey guys, Here's another rough idle and missing problem! I've only had my T a few months, I put in a K&N panel and got a generic edit and shortly after noticed a bit of a miss and intermittent rough idle. I thought it was probably the original plugs, which I just had regapped at the time. Last month I got a custom tune with new plugs and the miss seems to have gotten progressively worse. The guys at CV said you'll get a bit of a miss when you close the plug gaps up but this is a bit beyond that. Now when you pull up at the lights it idles ok for a few seconds then goes a little rough and occasionally has a really big miss where it almost stalls. This is independant of driving it hard or cruising around taking it easy. The other big symptom is periods of running really rough/fluttery like it's down a cylinder or 2. I thought this was probably valve spring float as it first did it after a caining but it now does it occasionally when just cruising along. This morning I was rolling along in 3rd for a while then went to accelerate lightly and it started to flutter. I backed off then accelerated, still flutter, backed off again and accelerated and it was back to normal. I've just cleaned the throttle body and it made no difference. The car isn't particularly modded - K&N, wog cooler, 3.5" cat and custom CV edit making 250rwkw Does this sound like a valve spring issue or maybe a coil on the way out ? Or something else ? Cheers Jay

Ended up with 250 on 9 PSI. Con had it at 260+ but it was a bit lean so pulled it back a little. Better safe than sorry, and at 9 PSI I shouldn't run into any dramas

I'd convinced myself to get bigger injectors and was chasing around to get a set but then when I saw CV were putting up their edit prices I decided to just go ahead with the stockies and be happy with what ever power they can safely get out of them. I'll know the result in a few hours!
