  1. Starting to do some cosmetic stuff. New tint to replace the old peeling stuff. Off to body works next to fix one decent ding and a couple of paint scratches when the annual car stimulus package comes in.. I mean tax return
  2. After moving houses and not touching the car for awhile. I finally got around to putting on some DBA4000 slotted rotors and bendix ultimate pads along with a set of re003 tyres. Tyres are a huge improvement over the cheapies the previous owner put on and it's nice to hit the brakes and not feel the entire car wobble. Also replaced a front caliper as it was sticking with just a repco one for now until I have more funds to spend
  3. I'm pretty bad for taking decent pictures but here's a few of the clutch brand new in the box. Forgot to mention I got a new rear main seal fitted while the box was out.
  4. Only got pics before it was fitted. Gimme a sec to work out how to add them. I'm guessing Imgur is the best bet
  5. Got my Mantic twin plate clutch fitted today by the local mechanic. Have to say it's a fair bit harder to drive than the stock clutch that was in it. I'll take it for a proper spin this weekend to bed it in. Next up is fixing the centre bearing. Going to take tail shaft to Hardy Spicer or Finaldrive next break from work and get new unis, retubed, stronger centre bearing etc.
  6. I didn't actually do anything today but I just purchased a Mantic twin plate ceramic clutch to put in when I get home in a few weeks
  7. Went in to local tyre joint and he's sold out. Said to give him a buzz in two weeks. Last month they had buy 3 get 4th free on them so sold out everywhere
  8. Thanks for the replies. I'll go the 003s for now. Anything is going to be an improvement over what's currently on there
  9. That's what I'm thinking. I know the pilot 4s are good but at double the price...
  10. I finally got around to getting some mods done and my car tuned. The guy I brought it off had some cheap tyres on there and they just aren't up to the task with the new power. Anyway after searching around the forums and Google the RE003 and Pilot Sport 4 (not s) are being mentioned a lot. The local Bob Jane has these both on sale for $185 and $169 respectively. I am happy to spend more but at that price it just seemed a bargain and will be a big improvement over the current Chinese tyres. Just after some opinions on whether these tyres will be good or is it worth spending the extra and get some AD08r, Pilot Sport 4s, RE71s etc. Milage isn't a big concern. Main concern is dry grip and being able to shoot down to the shops if it's wet and not aqua plane.

Majority of tuning will be done on road by a mate and no point buying another tuner to upgrade in the future. Plus I just wanna mess around lol set up launch control and other silly stuff

Hi all, Purchased my BF Mk1 Xr6t manual about 12 months ago with just 80k on the clock. Completely stock except for the turbo oil line upgrade and a cheap bov. Been lurking on the forums for the last few months. Don't have the most mechanical knowledge just done the basics but I'm willing to learn more so with the help of a mate and this forum I will be making some improvements to the coon. Once my tax clears the bank I will be purchasing: Haltech Plug n Play Idx1050 injectors KPM 700hp intank module Actuator with 12psi spring Venom Hi flow cat (weld in as I will get the nizpro exhaust later) 38mm flapper for the mod. I plan on putting it on e85 as soon as the part arrive. This will get me started then I will get everything else as my funds allow me like the PW intercooler etc. I don't have any picture because I'm at work at the moment.
