  1. Shall do. I'm expecting pretty similar to the GT3582, might even lose a little spool on the 6 boost high mount, but hopefully that's mitigated with the 1.01 turbine housing, coupled with 60mm genV gate I'm assuming it can be fitted to a stock housing, but it's all vband, so I'm not sure how it'd work.

  3. I didn't mean to upset you man. Your questions were predicated around a decision already made. The reason you're not getting responses from anyone is that your questions are super common on all turbo performance forums, and they all end the same way. If you search through this site, the most recent documented thread I saw was a member trying a gtx3576 knock off, and it failed before he bought a genuine garrett. All the testing for these turbos go the same way. Member buys one, says quality is better than expected. Member fits and gets dynoed, says its great. Shortly thereafter, member either disappears and you never hear about it, or you get one that actually admits it broke in a week
  4. Let's be honest man. You've already decided on a sh*t Chinese turbo based on the flawed logic that most stuff is made in China so how bad can it be? Now you're just looking for moral support to justify your decision. Seems to be some decent reports from the Aeroflow turbos which come in significantly cheaper than garrett. Other than that, I can't understand why anyone would consider cheap Chinese turbos that have invariably burnt anyone that has ever bought one, with the exception to the rule being a handful of reports from people that allegedly haven't had issues.
  5. My e85 crank time sounds similar to yours. Maybe 8-10 secs. Pretty normal, but I agree, it could be tuned better. Only to a point though, such is e85
  6. Finished installing 6/4 Brembos over the weekend. Full fluid flush with Nulon super dot 4. Bit of mucking around with clearance for my Enkei RPF1s. Originally got crossover pipe adaptors but ended up having to get custom crossover pipes made. Got my old 4 pot/PBR combo if anyone is looking for an upgrade.
  7. So I'm going the G35-900 also. Will post results on stock bottom end in a few months. There's a fair wait on 6 boost manifolds at the moment. Mine won't be about peak hp because of the stock rods, but should give an indication of comparable response to a standard GT3582. I'll send it with build motor, which will be in the pipeline.
  8. I'd be curious if it would be slightly laggier than log manifold, and whether it'd hold boost better in the upper rev range...
  9. Has anyone tried high mounting a Gtx3576 G2 on a 6 boost manifold? Surely the compressor would benifit from extra flow and better boost control with external gate? Or is it not big enough?

  11. Hey mate, check the wiring to your cam sensors at the back of the motor. The wiring often melts and causes misfiring. Given where yours is breaking up though, it's probably something else like CAS. Assuming your coils, coil plug wiring and plugs are fine...

  15. How was the boost response? Is it super responsive and torquey down low, or a bit lazier than expected?
  16. So what if OP doesn't have access to your sourcerer tuner? He also wants to keep the factory intake. A genuine 400 on 98 isn't easy. You risk engine damage, and a lot of tuners don't like pushing it on 98 with the factory frame turbo. I've had tunes from 3 different high profile tuners on my manual BF with stock GT3582 and on 98, none have done better than 375kw on 18psi. But it consistently goes 330ish on e85, 18-20psi
  17. Do you have a built motor to get the most out of that efr? I really like the look of the G35 900. 62mm that allegedly flows 900hp sounds like the perfect size to me if you wanted to step up from the 58mm gen 2 gtx3576

  19. My impression with TBRE is that he has too much work, so can afford to overcharge. I'm sure his engines are great, but are they 50% better than a competitors for similar specs?
  20. Thanks man, good advice. I want someone that is meticulous and takes pride in their work. Not a shop that just knocks them out, or claims what they're doing is some sort of secret proprietary dark art to justify ridiculous prices. Looks like your engine came up really nicely from a builder who is genuinely invested in a good outcome
  21. I don't disagree, but when you get the head reconditioned and you add valve springs, hd timing gear, a decent harmonic balancer and mid range pistons and rods some places seem to be taking the piss with pricing. Hence my original enquiry
