  1. Haha not after an auto. I hear what you're saying. Problem is, good TR6060s aren't easy to come by, and people want $4k for them, condition unknown. I'm not even sure I'm in danger of breaking the T56 at 600rwkw, although I'm a little worried about the low down torque from the G35-900 killing it.
  2. I should clarify, the current tune is turned way down to like 15psi, and I kept it there even with the new fuel system. Need built motor to turn it up. In the meantime, I'm happy to have something still relatively fast, but reliable. What are people's thoughts on T56 Magnum??
  3. I think they just adjusted the fuel trims. It made the same power apparently. The Haltech is brilliant for self learning to fix any little imperfections in idle and fuelling in driving conditions that can't easily be replicated on the dyno. And the driveability of those 1500cc injectors is no different to 1000cc. Agreed on the IC7, keen to get that up and running in the next few months
  4. Just upgraded the fuel system. Plazmaman twin feed rail. Twin -8 feeds, single -6 return through Turbosmart FPR2000. Bosch 1500cc injectors. Already had plazmaman surge/twin pump setup, with flex fuel sensor plumbed in somewhere in between. Seems to run flawlessly. The 540kw the car saw on 20psi had the 1000cc injectors reaching their limit, so I removed that future limitation. Also got 1400hp axles to install. The repco ones started clicking after last track day... Lastly, got a 3d printed dash insert to suit IC7. Might install that one down the track. Slowly slowly progress continues.
  5. On the balance of probability, yes.
  6. Ended up ordering the 1400hp suckers. Comes with new hubs and bearings
  7. Does it have a centre muffler or just a big rear muffler?
  8. I like your optimism haha
  9. My trutrack has bulk backlash. Also IMS diff hat
  10. So stock turbo anywhere around the low 400s is hard to go past for value. It came on harder than current setup. And yep, just changed turbo, manifold and dump obviously. Around these power levels you really have to budget for driveline. Big difference between 98 and e85 tunes
  11. Nice one. What sort of cams are you looking at?
  12. Seen, thanks. So was this with B series coils still?
  13. Damn! Staunch numbers man, and awesome to see someone doing it all themselves. Sorry if you've mentioned already, but what sort of built engine are you running? Any issues with the head lifting at near 40psi? What valve springs?
  14. 700s bolt in like factory replacements. 1400s require new hub assembly and new wheel bearings
  15. Yeah, the only thing I'm worried about is if its a nasty job that I can't do myself, the extra cost of installation may push it to 40% more expensive. Which is potentially 40% more than required in the first place
  16. Hello gents, Who's done the 1400hp shafts themselves? I've heard it's a horrible job. I'm tossing up which way to go. The 1400hp shafts, plus wheel bearings come out 20% more expensive. I'm told that I'm very unlikely to break a 700hp shaft with less than 1000hp, especially with no drag racing, stalling up etc. Although manual is worse for shock loading.
  17. Keen to see how the FG coils go.
  18. What's the solution beyond 25-27 psi? FG coils and cam cover?
  19. Is that peaking at 30psi? 😲
  20. I'm not sure if it's an idling thing, more of a catastrophic failure thing, cylinder lean out, lunch motor type scenario. Hard to know what the actual failure rate is vs alleged issues people have had. Probably not actually an issue
  21. A lot of tuners won't touch 2000 or 2200cc Bosch. I know mine said anything above 1500cc he insists on twin rail. Good thing you're tuning yourself! Hopefully you don't have any issues!
  22. So, thought I'd provide an update after driving it a bit. It's nice and loud, louder than a GTX. It easily makes 5psi at 2000rpm, so it's still torquey and responsive down low. For a manual car, its hard to fault. It doesn't come on as hard as I personally prefer, but for others it might be perfect. I seem to be able to get all the power to the ground in even 2nd and third. I do have decent suspension with squat, a trutrack, and semi slicks, but I think the GT3582R was more prone to wheelspin. Bringing the boost on earlier and harder with a built motor might change this though. At least it seems pretty forgiving on the driveline for now.
  23. Hey man, I'm not qualified to provide an answer to your questions, but allow me to say congrats on a well structured post, with clear use of the English language. Its unusual amongst new forum members! For what its worth, it sounds like you're on the right track
  24. Don't know what to tell you man, but supply chains are a fact, irrespective of the opinion of tuners. The additive packs have to comply with Australian Standards, they have very little room to move
  25. 9.0 comp should be fine. Hot tip for everyone that thinks BP is better... all the fuel in Australia arrives in the same ships and is divided up to the respective brands on arrival. Their additive packages are all pretty much the same at their distribution centres. The variances you get are mainly from individual service stations - some have newer, cleaner tanks etc
