  1. "Built" BTR. That old chestnut... You'd want a receipt and confirmation from the gearbox builder to confirm, lest you become another statistic...
  2. Hats off for trying something different man. But that engineering doesn't look too safe just quietly

    The AWD FG

Agreed. Can you imagine lighting up all fours with 1000hp. Then turn it down to 800hp to rival any supercar from a set of lights. Would be fun!

    The AWD FG

Yeah, I think $10k is reasonable. $15k is pushing it

    The AWD FG

Yeah old mate scoffed at a figure of $10k someone else suggested. Fair enough, looks like significant engineering has gone into it

Yeah I saw this. Very cool. I'd say the conversion will be at least $20k
  7. Staunch man, congrats. What's the plan now? Build the trans?
  8. Using the builder that East Coast Customs uses, Tremaniac. They've done all the tuning, so I'm keeping it in house to make sure any potential issues are sorted. It'll just be a basic build. CP Bullet pistons, not sure what rods yet. Tremaniac like using carillo. Upgraded timing gear, the usual stuff. Keeping 12mm head studs with washers. Not sure about cams. I really want a different sound and higher power band, but no spool penalty. Will probably keep stock unless they're pitted. Any suggestions? Got the T-56 Magnum to throw in as well. Interestingly, East Coast Customs do big LS builds and one of the guys was telling me some of their customers with big blowers have broken TR6060 boxes, and replaced with magnums, none of which have ever broken. I thought they were the same internally...
  9. So installed the big 1400hp axles. And replaced all the suspension bushes in the rear. Learnt a lot doing it myself. Dropped the car off today to get the engine built. Will take a few months, but the progress continues. Will finally be able to stretch the G35-900.
  10. Was it a case of the big cams reducing dynamic compression, and then letting you pump more timing in?
  11. I personally wonder how the Kelford 218-A would go. My objectives are different to you guys though. I want tyre shredding response, and 600rwkw
  12. So any preliminary thoughts on whether the cams are worth it?
  13. Staunch for 98. Is that about what you were expecting?
  14. Well done man, that's awesome. How's your spool?

    My Build

@HI PSI how do you rate the platinum kit for the R35 coils? Worthwhile upgrade?
  16. that's legit. Nice work. Super interested in how those cams turn out
  17. Yeah, I actually bought brand new nyloc nuts from Ford. $3.60 each I think
  18. Loctite on all the bolts? Whoever did mine last must've used red on everything...
  19. Nice man. How was it going back in? I've also got my cradle out now
  20. Nulon do a GL5 80W90 mineral oil suitable for hypoid diffs. Only extreme pressure additives
