  1. Might work yes. Should you do it like this? Probably not 😂
  2. Should start a "Sh*t you see on FB that is borderline dodgy" thread. I'm no tuna but this doesn't look like its ideal for boost control. Thoughts? 🤔
  3. In other news, MCUs are becoming so hard to find that the companies stocking them are charging beyond insane prices for them. Take this one for example, an MCU used in a product we developed many, many years ago. MCU released in 2009. Its old. But still in production. We used to pay ~$12AUD on a bad day for it. Copied directly (can't copy a table, changed format) from a quote from one of the only suppliers that have them in stock. Its taken us all week just to find 2 suppliers with genuine, in stock parts. Order QTY 116 Unit price $251USD UNNIT PRICE!??!?!? that's nearly $30kUSD for 116 chips. WTF
  4. Petition to switch weekends with weekdays. 5 day weekend, 2 day weekday
  5. Had the day off yesterday now it feels like a Friday and its not
  6. Knock Knock, whose there? 👀👀 Its Biddie Fiddler, just popping his head in this topic cause I now have a car worthy of it 😎😎 Copy/Paste of the build list from my other thread, putting in here for a quick access list of the build and results Turbo + Exhaust Pulsar GTX3582 Gen2 Turbosmart GenV 45mm wastegate Ultrex 4" turbo back exhaust Intake Stuff Plazmaman 1000hp intercooler Intune motorsports 2.5" piping Intune motorsports throttle elbow with hectic BOV delete Fuel System Sonic 1000cc injectors Turbosmart Kompact FPR Walbro 525lph in tank pump with modified venturi 25A rated wiring Engine Stuff Dominator motorsports head studs Crow race valve springs Monsta Torque billet oil pump gears Hopes and prayers Driveline Re-tubed chrome moly tailshaft with upgraded centre bearing (approx 600hp rated) IMS twin bush diff hat Results 403kw 700+nm Dyno printout sheet posted in replies
  7. So just to explain it all with more detail. Car drives so good!!! Its so different to what is was before. The IMS diff hat appears to help keep the car going straight, not really sure how to explain it. Bit of 2nd gear burn and the rear end felt like it was far more stable and didn't want to skate around so much. Power comes on so smoothly, not as laggy as I was expecting. But that's probably because I've been used to my brothers gtx3584 rig. Continuing the comparison, I've forgotten how smooth my car is to drive too. Everything is so tight. I used to have a clunk during gear changes, turns out the main diff bush was flogged - not that it matters any more lol. There is absolutely zero slop now in the shifts, in the acceleration and deceleration. Just. Incredible. Car is going back in a few weeks, probably after I'm back from South Africa. I am getting a multi tune done, and this is solely because of some really, really, amazing people out there helping me out with the credits. I was stunned when I was someone was paying for it, truly. I had no words. Everyone on this forum has been nothing short of amazing when it comes to helping me become less of a noob and attempting to do the work on the car myself. Thank you all!!!!!
  8. @JETURBO mate honestly I have no words. I sent you message on WhatsApp so happy with the results and first drive was FARRRKINNNG insane. Feels soooooooo good to drive this rig again. In love all over again
  9. I'm so glad nothing I did sh*t itself like the pump or the turbo replacement or the wg line or the fpr plumbing
  10. @JETURBOOi don't be like that hahahaha Actually got two pics from Rob over FB, no message or anything lol I wonder if this is the final number or not. Either way I'm ABSOLUTELY over the moon. 400KW CLUB YEEEEEEEETTT
  11. @JETURBO I'll place a bet and say you have an "illegal" character somewhere in your text. Have discovered that the " symbol causes issues. There could be more! Finding bugs is fun (I actually enjoy it lol)
  12. Ahahaha only cause you asked so nicely Good time to update it anyway I suppose! 13. Dropped the rig off today, apparently high chance it'll be done by Wednesday. Win! They've recommended I pay the bit extra for multi-tune but still on the fence about it. I still need to get new tyres for the fkn thing. Hoping my foot power control is good enough for now lol. Costs around $800 extra due to needing to purchase credits to unlock the feature. Maybe I'll go back another day for it
  14. Ouch! that's no good 😞 Happen to have a dash cam?
  15. Morning @k31th! Always a good time catching up on Forum antics after being silent for a while. Lots of things to read and keep myself entertained 🤣 Dropped the car off this morning to MT. So excited the day has finally come! Apparently will only take a couple days (ready by Wednesday) to do all the work + tune. Awesome!
  16. Yea he'll fit that for you. He'll also tell you it a very sh*t job, and takes ages. So just a heads up that the labour costs for the install will likely be high (relative). He told me he was glad I installed the IC myself because its a pita lol. He will do it though, obvs. Shameless plug to the thread about the install if you do wanna give DIY a go
  17. Sounds an awful lot like the beginning of a snowball story 🤣🤣 Goes in for a zf6 solenoid refresh, leaves with built box 😈
  18. Morning! 6 days till I drop the car off, getting close! 😄😄😄
  19. This is kinda stuff I love seeing on the forums. Thanks for sharing this mate, its truly awesome to see!! Here's how I'd base my cost of a port job. It'd have to be cheaper than an external gate setup. The job would cater to the people that do not want the hassle of going external gate so it needs to be a cost effective solution. Basically I'm saying $400 is a pretty damn good price for something like this. If you can show proven results from this, then I'd even say you get closer to $500. Anyhow, good stuff!
  20. Wow some awesome work so far mate! Is this something you'd ever consider doing as a service? Seems like something people would pay for to have done. Especially given the quality of the results over hand-ported solutions offered by other places. Keen to see the finished result!!! 😄
  21. Catching up on all the forum antics I've missed since Thursday lol. Went down south for 5 days, using 1 day of annual leave... Not a bad result hahaha Been a good time, also drove the rig to the petrol station yesterday for the first time in nearly a year, was amazing! though, the power steering pump is still no bueno. Turns out replacing a 140k old pump with another 140k old pump doesn't make the steering any better. I just don't wanna fork out like 400 bux for a new pump, that's stupidly expensive!
