  1. Not a total waste of money then, I guess πŸ˜‹
  2. Yea I know, but they're soooo cute though πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί
  3. Its also pay day today so I may feel more rich than I actually am lol All seriousness though, this company has been making car covers for a long time and they have a good reputation. Aussie made, for aussie conditions. After having a garage its been so depressing seeing my car get absolutely farking smashed by bore water every fkn morning 🀣😭 Will stop dew building up on it in the mornings too which is now. All in all, a protected car that will be kept clean that's what I keep telling myself anyway
  4. Car covers are cheap, decent car covers that don't f*ck your paint are not though. These ones are not supposed to scratch your car. They have multiple layers and have a felt inner layer. Similar ones at SCA are ~$150-160 and had some really average reviews, figure if I spend $100 extra that I'll get a better cover πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ https://www.australiacarcovers.com/car-covers/2010/ford/falcon/sedan Will see how it goes
  5. Also been getting frustrated with my car getting a daily wash by council retic, ordered a car cover. Got 10% off the final price, $265 better fkn be good
  6. Valentines dinner last night at this place called Volare. On the expensive side at $110pp but it was 4 course with a cocktail pairing of each one. Gotta say it was one of the best places I've ever been. Its a cocktail bar but with fancy food too. The staff were awesome, 3rd cocktail I didn't really like, bar tender came by and asked how we liked that round of cocktails. Mrs liked it, I said "not really a fan, but you can't like them all". To which he said "yea you're right, so what do you like". After telling him, he took the cocktail away and made this absolutely amazing cocktail instead. Farking, amazing. It was some spin on an amaretto sour. So. Good. If anyone is ever in Perth, check this place out. Such an amazing place! Here is the set menu we had last night, my fav was the beef marmalade dish, straight fire. Menu is listed funny, First sentence is the dish followed by its cocktail pairing. 4 courses in total I'll steal some pics from the Mrs if you wanna see the dishes
  7. We will be getting a frenchie hopefully next year. Budgeting 6k for them farckers. They are not cheap 🀣 Unfortunately forums are "old news". Platforms like FB took over because it was a new, and arguably easier platform to communicate. A lot of the "soul" of a forum has been lost in the process. But nothing lasts forever. This forum won't either. We'd like it to, obviously, but this forum costs money. Running a group or page on FB is free. No running costs, no maintenance, no hassle. Still, I'd choose forums over fb any time of the day This still happens now. Forums still have this hierarchical form of members. The "OG" members will always believe they have more power over the new members. Its really obvious to see in forums. I see it more in engineering based forums and coding forums especially. FB has this too, but no where near as bad. EDIT @k31th I got a bunch of email notifications for the OT thread last night, I think you're on the way to fixing it? Good stuff!
  8. First one being Falcon, of course
  9. I don't seem to be getting any post notifications any more πŸ₯Ί
  10. Once you've fitting the injectors and/or high flow cat it'll change the way the car behaves. Don't fit it all and wait for a tune. Book a tune, then fit the stuff a day or before. Getting the dump off sucks, just fyi. I bought the Ultrex 4" dump + cat when I was chasing 300+kw. I couldn't get the dump bolts off, spent hours trying. Ended up giving it to the tuner and they fitted it for me. Some things are just easier with a hoist! I really wouldn't recommend driving it with heaps of performance parts and no tune, just asking for trouble. Better be safe than sorry, and if that means no driving for a day so be it. That being said, you can limp it from home to the shop, just do not go hitting boost. You can drive anywhere and never need to with the factory power anyway. I replaced my gt3576 with a psr gtx3582 and drive it from home to the tuner, just didn't get in boost the whole way there. Take @JETURBO advice, this won't be the last time you get performance upgrades so plan ahead. Get a walbro 255lph fuel pump for the intank pump, you can fit it yourself but if you haven't before then I don't recommend it. A 255lph pump will end up serving very well as a lift pump for an anti-surge tank you'll get in the future, no doubt Factory turbo will push you to 300kw but it'll be on the edge of its efficiency, same goes for springs. Personally, I'd ask the tuner his preference on when to do springs. I had factory springs at 310kw. I knew I was going back for more, so there wasn't any point in me doing springs then, and head studs later. Save the labour costs and do them together. If they recommend springs now, then bite the bullet and do studs too. Expensive now, but you'll save in costs later. I've seen setups like yours, 1000cc injectors, high flow cat etc, range from 290kw to 330kw. Will depend on your car. Either way, once its tuned you'll feel the difference no matter the power. You get more power everywhere. Its awesome Oil Pump Gears. If this isn't on your list then add it asap. Especially sine you have a manual! Barra pump gears are notorious for failing. When you start chasing power, the limiter starts approaching quicker than you expect. I had these done before I'd even got a tune. I've seen too many posts of engines going straight to the bin because of failed gears. Do you need them? No, but you're just leaving a failure point in the car, that will cause mass damage if the break. If you get a catch can and want it to remain legal, get the Jonny Tig one. It won't vent both the breather and PCV, but at least its street legal. I have a "race" spec catch can, which basically means it vents both PCV and breather, goes to a container with a vent on the top, its also a made-in-china jobby that has absolutely zero buffling. Not that it really needs to cause its vented to atmo, but still for the price its pretty average. It sits in the usual spot for falcons, it makes the cabin STINK! As soon as you're stationary with the air con on that sucks air from outside, it sucks in ALLLLLLL the fumes from the catch can and is not great. Setting A/C to recirc solves this issue though. Can't say I've heard this happen to anyone, that sucks! Your pump might be failing? Causing too much pressure in the lines
  11. Bit dissapointed @k31th, you used the same emoji twice in a row
  12. Can't tell you price in NZ cause I didn't get them done there lol OPG's don't necessarily fail because of pushing more power, they fail from shock loads. Key issue here being rev limiter. That is the killer. In any case, for the cost of oil pump gears and labour, I dare say its nearly always worth just getting for piece of mind. I think I paid around the $800 mark to have a set installed in my car, in Perth. With no backing plate.
  13. Nankang retail price is high you're not wrong. But like puff has shown too, you can shop around and find good deals on them
  14. Very nice ride! Keen to see it putting around town
  15. Can try that new hero brand out? Raiden Hero I think they're called I've got AR-1's (nankang) and can't complain, but that is solely due to the fact I paid like $220 each. I'd be way more critical if I'd paid full retail on them I imagine. Even still, once they're warm, I'm getting all 400kw to the ground and it feels like a rocket. From a 2nd gear roll on the streets, tyres at 30-32 psi, I can leave traction control on and hardly see the light pop on the dash. Semi slicks are mad
  16. Says "TEST" near everyone's "member for" time, but I suspect you already know about this πŸ˜‹

  19. Pride in your work. Pride in their.... whatever the fk that is
  20. How do you usually cook the asparagus? Looks pan fried? Loving the char marks on the steak πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ
  21. Holy sh*t that looks bad πŸ˜₯ You know its not good when they use tarps to block the view of the incident
  22. pfft definitely not hahaha, all up still cost nearly a grand rip Its work that would have happened anyway so there isn't much point in me complaining about it. This car is money pit though and my partner is farrrrrr from impressed about that πŸ˜… Tune is free, I think? @JETURBO? 🀣 Not sure what Rob has to do with the tune, said something something ghost cams in multi tune. Its motorvation this weekend and he's got a lot of clients coming in to prep for that. Of course they have disgustingly bad planning habits so last minute book in is the best minute for them. Will never understand why people decide to call their tuner up the week of a big event to book the car in. Especially a shop like MT when they are nearly always busy. Anyway, this part should probably continue in TWPYOFT 🀣 Driving the car this morning to work, steering is 100% better and I'm happy with it. Feels way smoother on the road but that is likely more to do with the proper alignment than the steering. Parking at work is when I noticed the difference the power steering. No where near as hard as it was before
