  1. Does anyone remember a thread from a bloke a few years ago who had an animal of some description stuck behind the air vents in his car and he couldn't remove it.. I can't recall the exact details but I think the car was a Volvo and it was a reptile of some kind, a lizard or iguana or something like that perhaps.. can anyone with a better memory then me find that forum and thread?
  2. One we did for muck up day was obtain three cops and label them 1, 2 and 4 prior to letting them loose in the school. Teachers catch 1, 2 and 4 and spend the rest of the day looking for number 3. Gladwrap on the toilet seat in conjunction with laxatives and removing the toilet lightbulb and replacing the toilet paper with sand paper is amusing too.
  3. It's a bit stupid though.. If they're going to bother putting up a sign why not put up one that states the new speed limit instead of one refering to the last speed limit you may not even remember anymore.
  4. I'm tempted to go down to Challenger and just waste their time :D
  5. My car did exactly the same as yours, same sypmtoms and everything and it was the flexplate too.. is it common for them to let go?
  6. I put mine inside the drivers side guard, plumbed out of the radiator altogether.
  7. I had this slightly till I cleaned out my throttle body.

    My Prang!

lol, my T has had an L plate in the back window on a few occasions (gf learning to drive too, no less).. I made sure to take my brave pills that day! Good to see your making the best of a bad situation though.
  9. Mine tends to do this too at WOT in second or higher but it's also inconsistent. Is it worth throwing it back on the dyno to get a retune done? I don't want to bend a rod or anything like that!
  10. Last night at the drags was less then successful.. on only my second run for the night, the car felt a bit harsher then normal pulling through the revs. On the return road, I could hear this god almight rattling from the engine bay (it's very noticable - people in the stands could here it too.) Parked the car up and having a look, it seems to be coming from the back of the motor. It's there from the moment the engine is turning over and doesn't seem to matter whether it's in gear or not. I did try revving it to 1500rpm or so and it does seem to alter the rattle - seems to be a bit better to be honest. At first I thought it was a broken turbo but the noise is from further back in the engine bay. The general consensus is that it could be either a rear flex plate or internal damage. I decided against driving it home and stuck it on a tow truck. The car in question is a 2003 XR6T auto with 70k's on the clock. Internally its got Typhoon valve springs but the rest and the bottom end are all standard. It's running 13psi of boost with an edit from xtreme and has fuel injectors and a bigger exhaust etc to cope with that. I was changing at 5700 - 5900rpm during the run, exactly like I usually would. So, does anyone have any input as to what the problem might be and what can be done about it? Still did a 12.5@115mph for what its worth
  11. How are people running aftermarket transmission coolers with this intercooler in the way?
  12. 14.6@97mph, 60 foot time of 2.36. Auto is too damn slow off the line, that combined with the relatively low trap speed makes me think there's a lot more potential left to go. Unfortunately, before I explored any more I bought myself an XR6T however which has done a 13.83 stock as a rock.
  13. My BA XT 4.0 auto has run a 14.6 with an exhaust, extractors, cai and a custom edit from APC. I'm of the opinion that list can be substantially improved. I'm sure there's 13 second potential in these cars if you go nuts. (Edit: My first post after lurking here for god knows how long )
