So I used the awd out of a Holden hsv coupe 4 or the hsv avalanche so front are 348mm and rear are 330 .. yeah 20’s are no good sticky rubber will help drop into the 9’s .. when I built the car aim was 1000hp and 10 sec time on sh*t street tyres so done all that now it’s time to go faster.. Same face I made when a mate wanted to drop the pressure I was thinking what a waste of time lol but did and does make a difference.. I can’t run any wider than a 255 on front with out hanging out the guards and being Australia Toyo don’t bring the 255 35r20 into Australia.. would need to get from USA .. and when u run a 275 30r20 the diameter changes slightly and awd need to keep them close so makes it a I <3 Bananas to find a good tire that’s same rolling circumference in a 20 or 19 or 18.. Mickey Thompson do an et street in a 17 which is same rolling in a 245 and 275 .. but a 17 inch rim just hits on my brakes .. still looking into it.. and yeah there are some fast barras around .. a mate just ran 8.00 @175 mph in his x d falcon Barra

But would be interesting to know how far someone has pushed a genuine street tyre .. I have looked and all u find is muppets claiming this and that but run an et street same compound as a race slick.. lol if u go next time 100% lower your tires down to like 18 psi does make a huge difference.. they were at 35 psi and peel so much easier . I wouldn’t have thought would have made a great difference thought more like need a better compound tyre but did help lowering to 18psi ..

No u didn’t lol I have mates with 500kw plus gtr and don’t get into the 8’s .. another mate kevin brown has a wrx 500kw slicks all round and run a best of 9.8 @144mph .. for u to do 8’s u will need at least 800hp .. nitto another gtr exactly like yours a lot more power still couldn’t get into the 8’s .. I m doubtful of this especially on a street tire

Yeah awd was only about 800-1000hp .. still blows all 4 easily.. only way to get it down the track was leave on 5 psi for like 1-2 seconds then over 4 seconds increase to 15psi can do that on your eboost 2 controller if u got one just need a relay and hook it up to your trans brake switch if u got one ..

I was looking up tires was gonna run those Toyo Proxes R888R and this was up so added to the group.. just interesting what others have done on a street tire .. FYI the car is awd so that helps ?
