  2. Myself and Mark should be there barring any unforseen circumstances. Big AL
  3. Hi Guys, I've just been told of this cruise. There's a possibilty of myself and Mark with the Gold BF F6 being able to attend, it'll just depend on a few things falling into place so could you add us as possible maybes please. Big AL
  4. Hi Daniel, A friend of mine here on the Gold Coast has experienced the very same problem with his BF F6. The problem as I believe it to be is that Ford has changed it's supplier of bumpers. They used to be made by EGR Plastics in Brisbane but are now supplied by a company near Ford in Broadmeadows. Apparently they were having issues with EGR including the colour matching. I can only assume they've had to remake the moulds and hence forth are a little different. The only options I can see that are going to work is either (A) find an old stock insert lying around somewhere or (B) see if EGR can reproduce the original style or © replace the bar completely. Shoot me a pm If you'd like to speak to my friend personally he doesn't have web access atm but I can get you his mobile. Sorry I couldn't offer any better soloutions. Cheers, Big AL

    F6

Hi ASNU, You can get a new FG F6 in Brisbane for around 65k drive away without trying. That said I paid less than 62k for mine with 500km on the clock, less than two month old demo. You're better off selling your TT privately if you can cause you'll end up with a better deal. I sold my BF F6 for 3k more than the best trade in offer. Hope this helps. Big AL
  6. Hey Johnny long time no see. Big AL

    Coffee

Now I'm not a coffee drinker at all myself but my wife and daughter are absolute coffee snobs. They'll drive miles to get a good coffee. Our daughter is a barrista/manager for a local coffee franchise called Zarraffas. From what I'm told by both of them and everyone else I happen to ask they tell me Zarraffas have the best coffee on the Gold Coast. They have stores all over the coast, a couple in Brisbane and one in sydney so if your'e ever in Surfers for example it's open 24hr Friday and Saturday nights, why not check it out. Big AL
  8. Thanx mate,I'm both proud and impressed with the performance for an made Aussie car. The funny thing is, before I had my first run everyone kept asking if it felt quicker than the BF Typhoon and what I expect it will do. I replied yes it does feel heaps quicker and I was hoping for a 12.8 to 12.9 pass. It has surpassed my expectations. I still can't believe how quick they are out of the box, why would you want to go any faster. Big AL
  9. Yeh Buffy she's still stock mate, the only mods to the car are the K&N filter, FPV floor mats, Premium Window Tint and Paint Protection. Maybe it was the paint protection making it super slippery. lol To say I was ecstatic would be an understatement. As for posting on LS1 feel free to copy and past if you like. Big AL
  10. Hi All, It was a good turn out last night with a good representation of Blue Oval supporters. I was pretty pleased with my effort for a stock standard car. First run was a 12.70 @ 111.44mph & 2.02 60ft. Second run I was waiting too long for my competitor to stage and pushed through the staging beam, saw the red light come on and thought I may as well go now for a pretty poor 13.31 @ 111.22mph & 2.54 60ft, shame as it felt like another strong run. The third and last run was a 12.81 (no terminal speed recorded for some reason) and a 2.05 60ft. All in all it was an enjoyable if not chilly night. Congratulations to the two Mark's who came out for their first time and put in respectable low to mid 13sec passes. Big AL
  11. Hi folks, For anyone interested in cruising up to Willowbank together from the Gold Coast, we will be meeting at the BP servo at Coomera (opposite Dreamworld) with a view to heading off about 3pm. I look forward to seeing you all there. Big AL
  12. Looks like I got out of there just in the nick of time. You blokes look like you enjoyed yourselves though. Big AL
  13. Welcome aboard guys, make sure you come and say G'day when you get there. Big AL
  14. No way Tabby that thing of yours will pull a mid 13 sec pass with you on board I'm sure. Big AL
  15. Good onya guys the more the merrier. Anyone else up for some fun? Big AL
  16. If it looks anything like Phantom it'll be a very nice colour indeed. Big AL
  17. Hey mate, how did you go with your search? Did you find something you liked if so can you post up some pics as I'm looking for different wheels for my car also. Cheers Big AL
  18. So are they retro fittable or what? Big AL
  19. What makes you say that? I got my replacement Brembos and pads off them for less than half what Ford wanted, I think they're champions. Big AL
  20. I'm not too sure what it's called or how cheap it is but there's a caravan park at Oxenford on the eastern side of the motorway, situated about half way between Movie World and Dreamworld. I think they have cabins too from memory. It's only about a ten minute drive to Harbour Town if you must go there. Big AL
  21. I'm a definate maybe for Sunday and I've already passed on James as a referral to dave so back off shorty. LOL Big AL
  22. I've just taken delivery of my new FG F6 for a little under $62k so I'd suggest looking at G6ET or a demo F6 if you can find one. Big AL
  23. Hey, I resemble that remark. Big AL
  24. Hi there Juan, Welcome aboard. With regards the window tint, I would suggest a film from MEP Films called EMINM35. It's as dark as you can go and still be considered legal. Although it contains no metal it still has a heat rejection of 50%. Although higher in outright performance Metal films are generally not recommended for late model Fords as they can cause some electrical interference in certain circumstances due to the radio antenna being in the glass. I believe the FG ute may be the exception to this with the ariel on the roof. The tint should cost you between $200 - $300 depending on the film type chosen. Cheers Big AL
  25. Hi All, I pick up my new car tomorrow, 2009 FG F6 sedan in Nitro, ex demo done 500km $61,800 drive away. This is the best deal I've been able to find here in Qld with km's low enough to still qualify for the 50% tax allowance. If you want to deal with someone who knows his product, will look after you and tell you the truth, then I'd recommend you go and see David Gilmour at Metro Ford in Brisbane. He's the FPV specialist there (but can sell you any model Ford) and a nice bloke to boot. Tell him I sent you and he'll look after you. Time to upgrade my sig I guess. Big AL
