  1. Had countless issues with leaks over the years which saw me do so many things. I’ve just drilled and tapped my head and inserted M10 1.5 heli coils. I’ve opted to put in studs instead of the bolts which this model came with. Got the study’s from Ford which are cool because the have a socket end on them to put them in and out. Plus they have a 1.25 thread on the manifold side for better grab. Also opened up the manifold gasket because the ports are not big enough. Put some new studs in the turbo side and I did use a gasket plus double nuts for a lock nut. If this doesn’t fix my issue this time I’ll weld it all. Lol
  2. I have a bf11 turbo Ute which I bought in October 2006. Traded my 2004 xr8 for it. After my warranty ran out I started doing the upgrades and services myself. I have a hoist and full workshop at home so it makes it a little easier. I started using the Dpr8ea9 NGKR plugs ( 8mm gap) because they are so cheap and I was changing them every 10 thousand k anyway. My car is a reasonable 630 hp. Around 470kw at the flywheel. So it’s no monster however it’s not too bad. I’ve just done a rocker cover seal kit because I was leaking oil into two spark plug tunnels and the car was misbehaving under load. I’ve decided to go back to the genuine plugs with a 8mm gap. AGSP22YE 09. From Bayfords. I did this after reading some of the groups comments. Thanks for the advice and I’ll see how they go.
