For My 03 ba xr6t engine to get a twisted bent rod and chipped block, how would this happen and how would you have to drive the car for this to happen. ? A mechanic had my car for the day, and was driving it at the time, he was meant to be replacing the coil packs cause it was missing a little bit, would that have caused it to bend a rod? he didn’t get the chance to Change them cause it was too late by then.

Hi I have my 03 ba xr6t that has a blown engine, Im looking for options on what’s best to do, I would rather rebuild it so engine numbers stay original, who would be a good xr6t specialist in Brisbane that I could get some quotes from, or does anyone know some rough prices I’ll be looking at. I took my xr6t into mechanic to get rear engine seal done and new engine gasket kit put in, the next day the engine rod or piston let go while still in the hands of the mechanic. It does have high KMs but was running pretty good when I took it in it sounds pretty dodgie to me not sure what to do.
