  1. Same. Trip comp sits about 16 - 17L per 100km with ave speed about 33km/h. Don't like idling much - makes them thirsty. Would be rapt to get 450 - 500km out of a tank.
  2. Thanks, thought that might be the case. I know it was returned to stock when sold but will get it and wait until ready to do a custom tune. Cheers.
  3. Afternoon all, Just have a quick query - I had a flash tuner (original one) that was custom tuned to my BA Mkii T, with air filter only. I sold it a while back and now my mate has one spare after selling his BF T, which was also manual, and only had air filter changed. Basically, cars were identical except that one was BA Mkii and the other was BF Mki. To get to the point - would there be any dramas in using his (unlocked - flashed back to original before selling) box tunes on my BA? Think he had 6psi, 8psi and 10psi tunes and would only run the lower tunes until custom is done. Thanks, Damian
  4. Update. After speaking to all the 'right' people looks like the lease is the way to go. Works well for me, tax wise, cost, etc. Basically, benefits are: - pre tax fuel, rego, servicing, etc - after tax contribution to find balance with FBT - free up capital in car that I can use elsewhere. - no hassles of selling the car, in a couple of years As always depends on situation but if you are thinking about it, might be wirth investigating. My other main reason is that I will be heading os in a couple of years and don't want the hassle of selling, etc later on. Cheers & thanks again for the advice.
  5. Thanks for all the info. First stop will be the accountant to do the sums. Will see if it works out and let you know. Cheers
  6. Hi all, Was considering selling my T and leasing something, for tax reasons, than thought - is it possible to sell my car to a finance company and lease it back and pay it off before tax? I owe a little on it and would be much better off this way. It is a jano5 build, so I could hand it back Jan09, so it is no more than 5 years old when finished. Interested to hear if this is possible? I know my company does leasing, etc and then I wouldn't have to worry about finding a car I like/want and selling it later on. Cheers.
  7. Hi all, Just wanted to get an idea from those in the know and those who may have sold/looked lately. I have a BA MkII XR6T with the following: 45,000km 6 sp man Jan 05 Build Premium Audio, Leather, Reverse Sensor Lightning Strike 18 inch BA XR8 rims Perfect Condition, inside & out. Stock (only had edit & autometer gauges which will be sold seperately) I was thinking somewhere between $28k - $31k? Am I being realistic? Look forward to some feedback. Cheers.
  8. Best way to stop programs from loading at startup is to go to msconfig. Steps: 1. Open start menu, go to "Run" 2. type "msconfig" 3. Go to Startup Tab 4. Basically deslect itms that you do not want to run at startup, I.e. auto updaters, etc. Leave things like antivirus. If you are unsure what it is, leave anything with Microsoft in the file address. 5. Press 'ok' & reboot. This is a quick fix and am definitely with the others, that to fix properly, best to format and re-install. Good luck.
  9. Hi all, Last night was re-routing the cabling for the boost gauge and stupid me dropped the furrele that goes on the tube between the nut and the gauge. Should've been somewhere on the floor on pass or driver side as I had re-installed the ICC by this time but looked around for about half hour and couldn't find it. Just taped up the line for now. Does anyone know where I can get another from - bunnings maybe? Cheers. PS - image of gauge install instructions if I'm not too clear.
  10. Thanks all for the confirmation. Will have to get off my rear now and book it in. Cheers
  11. Hi all, I am due for my 30k service on the Mk2 turbo but don't really want to take it to Ford. If I take it to someone else will it affect my warranty which doesn't run out until early 2008? I have had a quick search and looked through the warranty fine print and can't really find anything on it. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Damian
  12. You can add me to the list as well. 2005, Mkii, LS, 6sp
